Hi, I have a Hitachi Dv-P250, and have had it for about a year and a half, and now last week the display on the actual unit, you know that displays the time the movie's been playing and stuff, has burnt out or something. The dvd player works fine for everything else, but nothing shows up on its' display panal. Has this ever happened to anyone? And what do you suggest I do? Thanks.

James

Since it's out of warranty (I assume) you might want to open it up and see if there are any loose wires or connections between the display and the circuit board. Of course you need to have a little experience in opening electronics (it's usually very easy) and make sure you unplug it from the AC first(of course). Or maybe try unplugging it for a while and then plug it back in which seems to be the general cure-all advice usually given. Otherwise, live with it or take it to a repair shop.
