Are modified DVD players called codefree player or multi-region players. What is that differnce or are thay the same?
I'm planning on getting a DVD player that will play DVDs from other regions and work with DVDs that will be protected in other way in the future.
Basicly I'm looking for DVD players from differnt regions all compressed into one player so that if new protections for DVDs comes out the player will still play.

I think you want one that will let you change the region code. The ones that are region free will not work with the new discs from Warner. Make sure the player will let you select the region you want.

I looked it up and basically the player needs to match the region of the disc put into it. Either manually or automatically. If the player trys to just bypass the region code the new Warner discs will not work. I think the newer region free players are designed to work correctly with the Warner Discs.
