I have a Toshiba SD-2008, and I am having problems playing The Emperor's New Groove UE in it. The sound cuts out throughout the film. (Is anyone else having this problem with this DVD?) I've tried the disk in another player and it played flawlessly, so I'm pretty sure it's not the disk. I have played other movies in the player and they don't have this problem, so I'm pretty sure the player is not completely junk. What I wondered is if there is a way to upgrade the firmware? I know with some players you can download a file and burn it to a CD and when you put the CD in the player, Boom Baby, new firmware. I don't know if this particular player has that capability, and if it does, I don't know where to find the firmware update. Any suggestions?

I know the 2109 is upgradable because it was listed as one of the services performed when I took mine in for repair. The sound would not play on one Disney DVD and on some others I would have to restart the DVD a couple time to get sound. They also had to fix a loose connection. As far as doing it yourself, I don't know.
