hey, I have a question,
I've gone through 2 headphones this past year, and with each, it took about three months, then sound only comes out of one side, unless you press it against the headphone jack.
Has it ever happened to anyone else?
Anyone recommend a quality pair that's not too expensive?

The Koss TD 65s were my choice for years, but be gentle with them, I always had problems with the clips on the inside of the headphones breaking off. They run about 35 bucks.
If you want to go a little higher you can check out the Sony V-600s, you can get them at Best Buy for 99, or you can get them online for a little cheaper.
I use them at my radio station and most of the jocks use the same model as well.
Check out http://www.audioreview.com or http://www.epinions.com for more reviews of headphones.
I hope that helps you some.

Koss Porta Pros can be found cheap (I think I've seen them for $20 on amazon) and come with a lifetime replacement warrenty. They are also considered very good for the price.
If you're willing to spend more you may want to check out http://www.headwize.com and do a search of their forums. Another good commercial website is http://www.headphone.com (they 're having problems with their server right now).

I just bought the Sony MDR-CD180 headphones for about 20 bucks at wall-mart. Which is good considering A. Sony B. Very big C. Sound is great.
Just don't play Nine Inch Nails on full blast with these. I have an ear infection now. Gotta keep it lower. Instead of 10... I'll make it 9.

daledude Thanks for the links. After spending some time reading the forums at headwize.com, I'm going to dust off my old AKG K340 phones tonight and give them a listen.

I'll second KnightSkywalker's suggestion...
Go with the Sony 600's or 700's... I've had a pair of these for 5 years or so and never had a problem. Sound great. Solid gear if you don't mind the $100 neighborhood.
