Hi
I have my dvd player for 8 months now and it's working good. Yesterday I rented Charlies' angels and kaboom:

-I had some green interference on the screen
-the screen became geen
-I tried to put another dvd in and it's like the background separates in layer making the image very "dumb"
-i have some green interference still even when i am not playing any dvd
-Same image problem after I have clean the lens with a lens clenaer that costs me 20 bucks.

If somebody knows how I can fix the problem I'd really appreciate.

Thanks very much,

SKIP

Do you use a laser cleaner regularly? If so, there's a good chance that is what has caused the problem...and it may be permanent! Those laser cleaners cause more problems then they actually prevent! Another thing to check is your video connections to see if they have come loose.

Do you have componet connections? Maybe the Blue and Red are disconnected, or something.

Do you have an Unshielded speaker sitting very close to the screen....sounds like the interference that a speaker magnet can cause. If you do just move them further away.

Hey Skip I am sorry if you thought I was being nasty. I just found it odd that you posted your thread in many forums, then you wasn't there. I really wanted to help you out, but being that you posted everywhere, I thought you wasn't being serious, and you was just fooling around.

When I help out members in any forum on the internet, I really focus on them. So it's unfair if a quality member like myself or any other one, puts time into helping someone out who with their situation. On the other hand, I realize that you are serious since now I see you posting.

Well, my apologies and you gotta understand how many childish members dvdtalk.com has in their community.

oh and Skip, You may want to attempt connecting the DVD player to another TV, Isolate wheater the problem is the player or the TV, If you can also test diffent cabling. If it works fine on another TV then you need to figure out whats wrong with your TV, and Vice a Versa
