I've done a fair amount of trading on here and I wonder what some of you feel is the proper etiquette for posting trade lists?

For the first time since I've been trading here I responded to someone's post with things on their want list and an open offer to modify my offer so as to make an equitable trade only to be declined because "better" offers had subsequently been received.

I certainly understand that approach but I think it deserves to go into a separate thread that isn't dedicated to those of us willing to help each other out in Big Lot's trades. As far as I'm concerned it's just another form of ebay'ing or scalping if you're just going to sit back and field offers rather than state what you are willing to make a trade for. Actually, IMO this thread should be dollar for dollar or thereabouts.

Granted, some things are harder to find than others but that's the whole point of getting help from others who aren't having the same difficulties. When many are having trouble with a title and someone has multiple copies that they are only taking the highest "bid" on, I think they should not be doing it in this particular thread.

You can get Everwood S1 for $10 shipped and History of Rock and Roll for $12 shipped at Amazon from several of their third party sellers, including Newbury Comics. Didn't check the rest of your prices, but I just wanted to point those out. I thought this was an exchange thread.

So, you don't want things that you put on your "want' list?
I perfectly comprehend what you mean and what you are actually doing. You said yourself that it doesn't matter when a PM was received so obviously it's all about getting "more" with you. I offered two things off your want list and asked what other items you would want from your list to make the deal happen and you never responded and then never said what it would take. You were trying to get me to keep adding to my offer to see what you could get. I'm sure that if I had offered the moon you would have backed out of one of the other deals that are pending.
Well, I already know what type of person you are based on this one little slice of interaction but since you have such a fascination with comprehension, understandable since you seem to be incapable of it, you should note that the thread that you took the trouble to look up(for what reason I don't know) was me asking the moral stance on making copies of expensive out of print movies for those that can't afford to buy them.

Not at a profit but so people could actually see these movies that scalpers have taken great pleasure in gouging people with.

Last, think for just a second about the fact that I mentioned no names and you were quick to do just the opposite and in fact, dig up very old posts of mine. Methinks thou dost protest too much.

I think my trades speak for themselves and I have helped people get items that they simply couldn't find in their area with nothing in return(they covered the cost but I offered to do the legwork). You're the one who's taking the highest bids on an item that should count no more than $10 if you were actually in the spirit of what this thread is about.
I PM'd you ONCE in response to a post that you invited trades. When you didn't reply I posted that you hadn't replied and you invited me once again to PM you since you couldn't keep up with all the PM's(30, at most, doesn't seem hard to keep up with), then I responded to your less than hospitable response. Three PM's over the course of a few days hardly seems excessive. Keep twisting the truth though. Thankfully they have a bad traders list here and it will all take care of itself.

Forgive me if your tenure of less than a month on the board doesn't force me to consider the matter closed just because you have decreed it.
