eBay Experiences
You guys seem to have plenty of experience selling/trading DVDs here, and elsewhere. I'm considering auctioning off a couple copies of Boomerang (1947) I recently acquired, but I'm kind of leery of using eBay, because of horror stories I've heard or read. Has anyone here got any recommendations or caveats about them...or anything I should watch out for? Please let me know if you have, no one I know in real life has ever sold anything that way, so I really haven't got a clue as to whether I should try them or not.
Moderators, if this is the wrong place for this thread, I apologize in advance. I wasn't sure if here or Store Forum was the appropriate area.
Thanks!

DVD Talk Gold Edition
this prolly belongs in the talk forum, but what they hey!
i can obviously only speak for me, and to each his own. ive both sold and bought on ebay, and it can be both sweet and lame. it really depends on both seller and buyer.
from a sellers pov, as long as you are accurate with your listing, the only problems you may have is a non-paying bidder or an item selling much lower than you expected. the second prob you cant do much about. the first, youll just have to relist or sell to the next highest bidder. this can take time, effort, aggravation, and maybe negative feedback.
as a buyer, you can imagine many more problems may arise. are item and seller legit? is item as described? will packaging be adequate? how long will it take? and so on.
im skipping over tons and im sure others will comment - to paypal or not to paypal? ebay fees? checks a good idea? and so on.
my advice, try it. you may like it or not. you may use it for some things and not for others. it may be a good experience. and so on
