What happens if a package is marked fragile?

I pose this question in here because it is regarding a few DVDs being traded. Whenever I send anything from the post office they ask if something is fragile and by habit I say no, trying to make things easier. If I say yes it is fragile does it have any effect (longer shipment, extra cost, etc) aside from them taking greater care of the package?

Well, I'm glad I pack things nicely, then. And I just hope this next tin coming to me is packed as nice.

It depends if they are asking the question and it's a Federally recognized opposite day. Please be aware if it's a leap year...that will throw off the calendar.
