Fs: 105 Criterion Collection Dvds!

Now, I am trying to sell these in part because Im looking to purchase a Subaru WRX STi, I've got some money saved up, but not nearly enough to purchase this car comfortably, that and i'm not entirely sure how my tax return is going to be this year. I may not be getting a return~!

I have been collecting Criterion Collection films now for close to 6 years now. I was looking at putting up all my OOP's, but thought about future possibilites of starting this collection back up and those are the titles that would be impossible to pick up again without a kings ransom... so only the doubles are up for sale.

But! I may still be interested in selling for the right price.

Most of my titles were either purchased through internet buys (i.e; dvdplanet.com, ebay.com , etc.) or retail stores during sales ( media play, borders, etc.) I was buying them faster then I was viewing them, so alot... I mean ALOT are still SEALED!!

Shipping will be $2.00, and ea. additional item $1.00. with tracking numbers.

PAYPAL ONLY!!

I will give group buy discounts of purchases of $100 or more, but only within reason. (meaning I'm only going to take off a couple of dollars)

The prices I have on these items are set very fair, so please dont insult me with offers of grand ridiculousness. I based my prices on dvdplanet.com list of 35% off, which destroys all e-tailers prices (with the exception of Deepdiscountdvd.com's 40% a couple of weeks
ago.)

Cheers,

Charlie Howard

How much for

Metropolitan
Young Mr.Lincoln
The Virgin Spring
The River
The Killers
Haxan

Your prices are too high for secondary market (even though Criterions have a high resale value.) You should at least be selling them at DDD's 20% sale prices. In fact some of your titles are cheaper at online retailers than your asking price, which is probably why your not getting much of a response. Lol, though I understand that the money is going to a big purchase...but be a bit more realistic. Anyways I'm interested in those titles.

Make it $44 and you got a deal. Are you on the good traders list?

hey guys,

sorry about the no reply I will be on tonight, I over slept last and i'm running late for work. I reply to all tonight...

BTW..

I dont think my prices are high. Most of the titles i'm selling are brand new. The titles that are used are better then second hand markets. Try going to FYE and buying a CC used for under $20.00 for a double disc.

Cheers,

Yup, Why should we buy from a newbie member who "MIGHT" screw us rather than buy them cheaper from an online store? Most of us here get these CC dvds even cheaper during DDD 20% off sale or the CC sales they just had. I see so many other threads on other websites with CC selling for about $19/29.99 & $25/39.99 and nobody is buying them because it costs the same just to buy from an online store which sometimes give a better deal and a piece of mind if there is a problem with a dvd. Then, they just end up selling them on e-bay where they loose even more $ because of the fees.

You know what they say, there is one born every minute...

You do have that choice to go somewhere else to purchase for a $1 or $2 cheaper, but my intentions werent to try and sell only 1 or 2 dvd's. But a handful. I am willing to drop prices on purchases, as i have with two other 'customers'.

I just didnt realize that I had to sell well under online prices to move these items. I really thought that, I could sell these for the price I felt comfortable with selling them at.

Hmm.. I guess I learn something new everyday )

BTW, I've traded with quite a few people on here, and by the rating system thats up on this site, I would almost be considered a 'gold trader'. So i dont think slanderous remarks on my character is tasteful or even appreciated.

I thought the rules on this forum was, dont post whore, if your not interested in what I've got for sale look somewhere else.

It would be like you trying to sell your house. And as your trying to show it to a interested party. I jump out of your sofa and yell. Dont buy from him!... He's never sold a house before.

or...

I know a house, down the street for $10.00 cheaper, the neighborhood may be alittle crowded/congested but your saving $10.00.

Now, i know that you may just be trying drop a 'helpful hint' with how i might sell more titles. I'm not to the point of where I'm just trying to dump them. If your not interested in my prices i'm sure there is someone else trying to sell the same product somewhere else for a buck cheaper

Cheers!

First of all, I've traded with Charlie and can vouch for him.

Second, I definitely see your logic but there's a countervailing argument that prices being equal, buying from a fellow member who needs cash for personal reasons is better than buying from a faceless company even if it's a great one like DDD. Given that there's two ways of looking at a situation like this one, there's no reason to bash someone's prices or accuse them of being a potential scammer.

Always happy to stand up for a good trader , especially one with good enough taste in film to own 100+ Criterions.

BTW, your quoted price was fair but I've decided to curb my spending so I'll have to sit this round out. Thanks though!

I'm closing this thread again.

Let's try this again.

Prices need to be firm....this thread contains price haggling...either do it off the forum or set your prices in stone and let's have at it.
