yes I can despoit such a cheque - however it will take ages to clear as Citibank UK send it back to the US to go through the US clearing system - we are talking about a month
TBH I would much rather you send me US dollar cash via insured delivery so I know exactly where I stand because I have heard stories about cheques and money orders appearing to clear and then weeks/months later bouncing after the fact
If you are worried st all about me then you need not be - I provide pictures of the tin and references from other traders (e.g. see ffeedback link) - the item will be sent with insurance via airmail and I can send you a scan of the postal receipt

Ouch, a month is a bit too long to wait as the item was intended as a gift. As for cash, and please don't be offended as it's the risk of loss that concerns me not you, personally I won't even risk sending cash for domestic transactions let alone international ones.
I'll have to pass and just wish you luck trading.

"across the pond to old blighty" perhaps
the USPS website should show your all your options, airmail is essentially really as surface mail takes too long
http://ircalc.usps.gov/
You will need to complete a customs declaration and it really needs to show a value of $30 or under otherwise I will be charges import fees which I definately dont want
also it might be that the cheapest option doesnt provide postal insurance so you will need to decide if thats an acceptable risk or not - what I can say is that US mail to my address is very reliable as it stands from US online retailers so the chances of a missing item are negligible and you are likely to be paying for insurance for no reason
Posting for me is relatively simple as the cheapest airmail option (no tracking) comes with £32 insurance anyway which is about the right amount for this trade
I suggest you explore your options using the USPS website and get back to me - look at BOTH envelope and packet options as I think your package can be classed as an envelope if you wish
