Scott: And i didn't mind at all you trying to determine that. did i not try and help by giving you as much info as i possibly could about what i did where the lock ups occured ?. It was only when you started to insinuate that i was lying to you. I mean look at the last 3 emails you sent me, saying there is no way the discs wouldnt play for me cuz they play in my 3 year old toshiba. I mean your damn right i got fed up and had enough and told you to leave me alone. I try to be nice and take time to help you out answering your questions but then i get accused of lying thats just not right.
I mean i never even had to take my time to do that because it's not my problem. So if you really believe me that the discs didn't play why can't you just leave me alone and stop accusing/insinuating that i am lying. It's time to move on allready.

I NEVER insinuated anything of the sort - the last thing I asked was (this is what got the rude reply):
"When you say you played through any rough spots at normal speed - did you go back several seconds (at least 10-15) before any sign of trouble? It takes a while for the buffer to take effect - you can't start right on a dropout and expect it to work."
Tell me how that was insinuating you were lying? I was just trying to figure out if there was something in your FF search technique that was causing the player's error correction to not function properly. Maybe it works differently in a recorder than it does in a normal player, I don't know, because my player was able to FF through with no problems - but I NEVER accused or insinuated that you were lying.

Scott: i guess from todays email this couldn't be taken as insinuating anything.
"Hundreds????? LOL - I would just LOVE to send these DVDs to Mao and see what he says about the condition - I have looked at it repeatedly under a very bright light, there are maybe 15-20 very light insignificant scratches on the first two, none of which I would even be concerned about (and since they play fine on my player, I don't know what the problem is with yours). And if you cleaned it, you did a crappy job, because there are a few tiny spots of dirt on the disc which could very well be what caused the misplay.
gimmie a break... i guess i am lying about the hundreds of scratches to. But i guess you didn't insinuate anything there either. can i post the original trade email where you told me there were 2 or 3 scratches on the first two dvds ? Now your saying there are 15-20 but they are light. Come on even you admitted in your last post that you sent me dirty discs. your a gold trader why didnt you clean them up abit before sending them out ? why is that my responsibility ? your going on about if i cleaned it i did a crappy job. well i shouldn't have to clean them to begin with thats your job.
Anyways we had a bad experience it's time for us to drop it and move on. can we both agree on that atleast ?

Yes - I agree it's time to drop this and move on, but I doubt it will ever happpen as long as someone has to keep getting in the last word.
Tell me where I said 2 or 3 scratches here:
"Well, the other discs have some extremely light scuffs, the kind you have to look at under a bright light at the right angle to see - the bonus disc is the only one with an obvious scratch that you can see without looking hard, but even that one is not deep"
The "tiny spots of dirt" I didn't even consider cleaning because they didn't appear to be anything to worry about - and I didn't want to risk scratching the discs cleaning them. But if your player couldn't handle the miniscule scratches on the discs, then the tiny bit of dirt could have caused it problems.
And the "hundreds" of scratches? Well, if you are considering the microscopic pinpricks (only visible under very bright light at the right angle) to be scratches, then yes, there might be a hundred or more - but only 15-20 that I would consider scratches, and as I have repeatedly said - they are very small and so light as to barely be visible.

Scott: ok atleast we can agree on that. Consider this subject dropped by me. I won't bring it up again. Hopefully you will do the same. Just so you know it was hard on me to take this public i did not want to at all. I like to keep it private aswell so i am sorry for doing it but it accomplished what i hoped it would that being us able to move on. No Hard Feelings on my end i wish you the best in your future trades. Take It Easy!

Done - but you have to admit, even you found it odd that the bonus disc - which had by far the worst scratch of the set (though even that one was shallow and radial) - played perfectly, while the first two discs had problems. Sometimes there is no telling what is going to happen with these things.

Please add a very positive +1 for, Scott Thomas (NC Yankee). I purchased his Band of Brothers tin for an amazing price, paid Friday and it arrived, today, 06 June! The set is just as described and I couldn't be more pleased....thank you, Scott, it's been a real pleasure. Your Gold Trader status is definitely shining bright for me!

And get Kimi Davis (Crazee4DVDs) up there on the GTL for a silky smooth transaction, and great communication. Overwhelmingly pleasant and appreciative lady to deal with.
