DVDs fT ?
I find it very odd that some of you have DvD's that were released less than a week ago, Team America for example, and yet your alrady ready for trade or sell? WTF..why even buy them..unless your burning them and keeping the burn..mmmmm

I don't find it odd and, yet, I don't find it odd that you find it odd.
I get dvds for a variety of reasons. I buy ones that I KNOW I will want to keep. But, sometimes I buy dvds for other reasons. For example, when I have gift cards I want to use, or Best Buy Reward Zone certificates. I like to use them immediately, since I have a tendency to lose things. ::sheepish grin::
However, if I find that I can part with them (either permanently, or temporarily with the intention of picking it up later) for something that I want even moreso, like trading a couple of my dvds for a more expensive special edition, or boxset (TV or otherwise).
And, I certainly don't complain that other people are trading or selling their new releases. It gives people who are looking for bargains (which is me, sometimes) a chance to buy them at those prices. For that, I say "more power to them!"
But you have a right to your opinion. You just kind of sound snobbish about it.

It may seem odd but it is actually common, I think the unofficical term is "blind-buy syndrome". That and the inability to pass up a release-day deal. Also if you're not completely in love with a newly released movie it's smart to trade or sell ASAP before the trade forums, and secondary market are flooded with used copies. I used to do this a lot before I started renting DVDs online.

I always figured some people preferred to buy, watch once, and then sell. That way, when you work in the money they get back and the savings from not having to rent, it's a wash. Maybe I'm wrong, though.
