Hi Mao,
Please bear with me while I relay this tale of a trade that could have gone sour but didn't.
Last fall I made a multi-disc trade with a fine gentleman who is a member of the gold trader list on this forum. It was for a certain new box set of mine, I was given "an offer I couldn't refuse". I was to receive a set of titles from him and one title from a three-way trade he'd arranged. Well lo and behold, I got the three-way trade title in regular fashion but the set of dvds from him hadn't shown up.
We kept in touch, never getting excited or rude. Many weeks went by, still no parcel. We conferred and came to the regrettable conclusion that the parcel had been lost or stolen. At this point my biggest fear was that I would be assumed a scam artist/liar and suspected of to trying to get more titles. I explained this and was blessed to be dealing with a truly reasonable and trusting individual. Never once did he doubt me or my word and I never doubted him sending it either.
He offered to replace what he could and trade for others that I picked. I cannot relay in words how much I appreciated his belief in me and his respect for my "gold status" on this forum. It took some more time for everything to work out on his end, I honestly didn't mind, as far as I was concerned - he was doing me the favor of honoring the trade.
To my delight, the second package containing the promised titles did indeed arrive safe and sound.
I would like you to honor this trader with an elite status of some sort. He went above and beyond, to satisfy my end of the trade we made. He did it with upmost candor and amazing trust. I consider myself fortunate to be able to trade on this forum with so many fine individuals. This one trader in particular exemplifies what is lacking in much of today's online society - plain decency and trust. I'm putting him on a pedestal because it is well deserved and I hope everyone on the forum reads this and takes away the thought that Good & Honest people are out there.
Mao,
Please give Bill Augustino a.k.a. dvd_addict a seat at the head of the Platinum traders club. Take care everyone and Bill, I'm a better person for having "dealt" with you. Thanks my friend!
Sincerely ... Milt Chaboyer ~ Grimmly
