Thanks! I gave it a try and will keep the e-mail.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Will Fox and the Hound count towards commitment? It's 24.95, but for some reason I was under the impression that all featured selections would count.

Yeah, there's no fine print that I saw. But damn, I want to get that movie 2 months ahead of time.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Fox and the Hound will count. It said so on the page where you could accept/decline it as your monthly featured selection.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

^Thanks, I'll give it a shot. My account was fulfilled so I started a new one and it won't count as a featured selection, but we'll see if it still counts.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Anyone know if the Up Blu-ray includes the slip cover?

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

My Up Blu-Ray came with a slip. I believe it was also the 4 disc version?

I can also confirm that Fox and the Hound does indeed count as a fulfillment title. I opened a brand new account and was able to order it as a non featured selection for $24.95 and free shipping. Shows up now as counting towards one of the required purchases.

Also, those bastards over at Blu-ray.com figured out how to order enrollment selections for titles that aren't available on the enrollment site. Basically, you need to do the following:

1) Start your enrollment with the 14366 code.

2) Copy the "add to cart" link on any title.

3) Paste it into your browser.

4) The link should be something like "https://disneymovieclub.go.com/webap...nterestItemAddcatentryId=13298&view=Bestsellers&viewAll=false&currentPage=1&URL= AcquisitionBrowseView "

You will want to replace the number after "AddcatentryID=" with the selection number of the title you wish to select.

I tried it and it works with all your Disney animated classics as well as 3D titles. If the title is 34.95 or lower, there won't be any problems. If the title is $39.95, it will charge $39.95 on the enrollment order but members have called in and gotten it adjusted pretty easily.

^While I have no idea what the rules are at blu-ray.com, I will point out that discussing hacking of retailer/club websites has generally been considered to be against the rules at DVD Talk.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

While I wouldn't consider it hacking since all you are doing is substituting the item number in the url, the mods are free to edit the post. Keep in mind, people in this thread have openly discussed being able to get these selections through phone enrollment, so Disney obviously allows it. All this is doing is saving you from having to call in.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that. That's great that all you have to do is call, but if the site's not set up to accept those orders, then your tweaking their system to get them is a no-no in my book.

Call in. Usually takes less than 5 minutes including navigating your way to an operator.

No, they'll usually ask if you want to buy "insert popular title here" before you close your account. I always tell them that I'll order that when I open my next account. They don't care a bit about cycling from what I can tell.

Thanks for the info. I ordered these last Wednesday and they were shipped Friday:
The Fox & The Hound 2-Movie Collection Blu-ray DVD Combo Pack $0.20
The Fox & The Hound 2-Movie Collection Blu-ray DVD Combo Pack $0.20
Cars Blu-ray DVD Combo Pack Gift Set with Cars 2 Movie Ticket $0.20
Bolt Blu-ray Disc + FREE Bolt Plush Bundle $0.20
The Game Plan Blu-ray(TM) Combo Pack $0.20
The Incredibles Blu-ray/DVD/DC Combo $11.95
Gnomeo & Juliet 3D Blu-ray/BR/DVD/DC Combo $8.95

I called today after I got the they have shipped email. She said they were sorry I was over charged and would credit me the $59 back right away. Took about 4 minutes of my time.
If you plan to order $39.95 titles I would order no more than 2 at a time so it looks like you were charged full price instead of the $11.95 and $8.95 price.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

PotC On Stranger Tides is showing up as a $24.95 pre order. Hopefully this will count as a fulfillment title as well.

And how does one go about finding selection numbers? Here in the forum, there's a bunch of listings for Columbia House, but thus far I've not seen one for Disney.

^^There's a spreadsheet over at blu-ray.com. I just pulled up another account that was already open and found the numbers there.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Just had to buy Secretariat for $36, including tax and shipping to fulfill my membership agreement that dates back to 2009. That almost $20 more than it would cost on Amazon.

I guess you cant get a deal EVERY time. <sigh>
