Disney Blu-ray Club!

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!
Just finished up my first Disney Blu Ray membership. Got the standard 7 titles for $21.90 and fulfilled with Toy Story 3 for $35.90 and the combo they were running with Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 and Pinocchio for $47.95. Ended up with 10 Disney titles for $10.57 each. Not bad at all! Thanks for all the hard work guys, I remember how time consuming it was from back when I used to help out with all the CH posts.
Now for my question, does anyone know how Disney handles accounts per household? Can you do 2 at a time like at CH and do they care if you keep cycling through them?

They don't care about cycling (in fact, when you call to cancel, they encorage you to rejoin anytime), but I'm pretty sure you can only do one account at a time.

^^Have you actually cycled several accounts? Not trying to doubt you, but CH tells you the same thing everytime you call and cancel and I've had hundreds of accounts "lost"
I just wish Disney had a wider selection in the BD club. After 2 or 3 accounts, I'll probably have everything I could want.

And if you're just going by what was posted earlier in this thread for the seclection, they DO have a wider BD selection. The list posted earlier in this thread didn't include anything from their "Grown Up Hits" section. Here ya go:

Yeah, I'm pretty selective about which movies I purchase now. A lot different from the old Columbia House days. I used to cycle through 4 accounts a week back then.

Just logged in to the club today and noticed that for VIP club members (those that fulfilled their 4 movie agreement) there is a 50% off and free shipping if you buy 1 at regular price offer. They still have the 60% plus free Wall-E pin offer too, so make sure you use the one that's best for you.

I called in and they were able to add cars to the order. Call in and do your order if you are having issues adding a title to your cart.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!
Just signed up for this and was looking at the BD's I can get to fullfill my membership.
Does anyone know the difference between the two Nightmare Before Christmas BD's? I know that the two BD versions out now, one has a DVD and one has a Digital Copy but both photos on the Movie Club site shows the BD + Digital Copy. Thanks!

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!
I think that someone mentioned earlier that they thought the cheaper one was the DVD not the blu-ray even though it's listed on the blu-ray part of the site, and the 30 dollar one is the blu-ray. Regular price blu-rays on there from what I can tell are almost always 29.99 and the dvd's are almost always 19.99

^My recollection is that there were very few BDs that met the $29.95 minimum for fulfillment. So, I decided to wait for new releases I actually wanted and pay a few dollars more (usually $31.95 to $34.95).
The Disney BD catalog is fairly limited. Because of that it is hard to optimize the club for lowest possible cost and still get worthwhile titles.
Coming releases include Tangled and The Incredibles, if you have any interest in either of those. If you wait for a title to be a "Featured Title", they may offer it in addition to another BD with free shipping for both. Whether that is a good deal depends on the titles and price.
FWIW, Pinocchio and Snow White are $31.95 BDs and are due to go "back into the vault" in a few months. Beauty and the Beast is also down to $31.95. There are many other $31.95 BDs at present, at least in my account.
The only $29.95 BDs I see are:
Camp Rock
Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (single disc)
College Road Trip, Disney's A Christmas Carol, Disneynature: The Crimson Wing
Disneynature: Oceans, The Game Plan, Glory Road
Hannah Montana And Miley Cyrus Best Of Both Worlds Concert: The 3-D Movie
Meet The Robinsons
Miracle
Ratatouille (single disc)
Remember The Titans
Disney's The Rookie
Roving Mars
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
Sky High
Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue
Underdog
WOW: World Of Wonder
There are, of course, many DVDs at that price as well.
YMMV
Technical note: If there is a way to list just BDs efficiently I can't find it. I found that selecting the BD button gets me lots of DVDs when I try to sort by price. So, my recommendation is to sort by price high to low and you will mostly get BDs for the first 120 titles or so.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!
Do enrollment titles have to be $29.95 to qualify? I see most of their $29.95 titles are now on sale for $20. If I make a purchase, will any of these count towards my enrollment?

I was wondering too. The triple feature with Pinocchio for $49.95 said it counted as 1 on the flyer and this double feature didn't say anything. I was assuming they said that about the triple because of the price. I was thinking of ordering the triple feature since it gives you free shipping on your order and selling or gifting the Pinocchio later since I have it already. That would basically be paying around $10 or so more for it.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!
I need to purchase my two commitment titles but have a question.
Do I need to place two separate orders?
There's a buy 1, get 50% off offer right now so if I add two titles, it'll have one at regular price (commitment title) and another at 50% off. Is there some way of "turning off" the 50% off so I can have two commitment titles in the same order.
Or is two separate orders the way to go?
Thanks!

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!
You can call them and they can place the order for 2 titles at full price. At least that way you save a little bit on shipping (unless you have a free shipping offer to go with it, in which case I would just place two orders rather than call).
