Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
^ Sets never qualify for the free selection. Unless it's a little different in the TV club, but I think it's the same as the regular club.
EDIT: 4 mins too slow, bigjim beat me to it.

^Generally anything with 3 or more disks (there are a couple of exceptions - mainly with movies) and *most* TVonDVD selections with 2 or more disks. If you're not sure, use a B1G1 code to test. If the 2nd title is not "free" then either the qualifier isn't of a high enough dollar (unlikely as long as 1 selection is $19.95 or higher) value *or* the 2nd selection is considered a set.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Hi everyone, thanks for all the great codes! This latest BOGO enrollment glitch was big, so I really appreciate it!
I fulfilled a 6 for .49 + 2 at 9.95 (thanks FrehlyCat) account from which CH had already hooked me up with an additional freebie (including free shipping) for an error on their end by picking up a BD + free DVD...that brought my total discs to 11 and my total dollar amount to $51.67, bringing the cost of each disc to $4.67. Shouldn't have been suckered into that additional $9.95 disc though! But I made up for it with another account I just fulfilled:
6 for .49 + 1 at 9.95. Then with the BOGO I picked up a 5-disc set (Dirty Harry Collection at 20.97) and free dvd. That brought my total discs to 13 and total cost was only $43.84, so each disc is only $3.37!
A little dollar cost averaging brings the total on both accounts to $3.98 per disc, including one BD. That's not too shabby!

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Good question. I only had one, but opened another when those enrollment codes were posted...then decided to roll the dice one more time because of that BOGO. I can't imagine that going on forever, but...

I think it's the same as before... 2 accounts per club.
That means you can have 2 TV accounts, and 2 DVD accounts.
I currently have 2/1 respectively.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
I'm interested now to know what would've happened if I hadn't canceled the 2nd account that I'd recently fulfilled. I called to cancel and the 3rd account happened to switch from provisional to an active account within a few hours.

Probably nothing. I've had 3 active accounts in the past without incident.

I used the bogo coupon, got North by Northwest Blu Ray(still at 40%off) and got 8 1/2 dvd for free and it fulfilled my membership requirement. I am one happy camper.

^Did you use the old bogo code or the new one. I'm wondering if the glitch in the system is only going to work for the buy one in march get one in april code.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
you had to buy a dvd in march of over $19.99+ to get a free one in april
to get the free one in april you had to buy another at $19.99+ in april
$19.00 + $19.00 + $8.00 shipping = $46.00
divided by 3
= $15.33 minimum per movie (it's more if your choices are above $19.99)
right now with the 40% off, most of the blu-rays are below $19.99, so they don't qualify for the march or april primary purchase
I don't find that a good deal
