Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Awesome thread. Been a member of CH for many years and never seen this site. First off thanks for the B1G2. Was wondering if anyone remembered the last 70% off deal they had. I filled my cart up twice. I emailed CH to ask if they'd be doing it again but of course the response was they didn't know.

Welcome to the site. Most of us here who use CH will flip accounts (open, fulfill, close and repeat) to get the most bang for the buck. For the most part b1g1 w/FS (free shipping) is the way to go. You can look through the threads on codes to find the last time a 70% off deal was available.

Does anybody know a free shipping code? I was in my account last night and it said dvd's for 11.99 and free shipping. Now I can't figure out how to get it again. I'd appreciate it..

I don't have a free shipping code, but wanted to let everyone know that 801490 is still working for B1G2.

anyone ever try to open an account online and get the message below? I called them up and the message means the application won't be approved. I have never not made a payment or violated any terms of commitment.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Have you waited long enough after closing an account? I had problems opening an account after closing another one. I had to wait longer and try again. I had 2 open at a time though.

Since I can't remember when I closed my account under that name it must be long enough. Last year and the year before I cycled 3 accounts at once. Out of curiosity when I had to call them over something I asked them how many accounts can be had at one time. The rep on that call said it really doesn't matter as long as you are a member of good standing. (My most is 3 at once)

It's my address that's doing this because I can join with my same name and e-mail and the next window asks me for billing info just as if I was accepted.

I don't want to join over the phone because of the code I want to use. If I am eventually successful or get to the bottom of this I'll post.

^Your question really belongs in the "questions" thread, not here. If someone tries to look for these questions/answers later being in the correct thread helps lots. I posted a answer there.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

My experience with trying to open up a 7/2 account online over the past several days has giving me all indications the 7/2 days are over.

I successfully opened a 7/2 account in March.

Let me know what any of you experience next time you try and open a 7/2 with the code.

Sales/discount codes, not enrollment codes. Thanks.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

^^The "codes" in the thread titles are "sale codes" *not* "enrollment codes". Ergo the name of the thread: "Columbia House Sale Offer Codes".

Enrollment code information/questions really belong in the CH Enrollment Codes Part II thread or general enrollment questions in the thread I linked above. Your original question fits the general questions thread better than the enrollment code thread.

It's proper etiquette to post only sale offer codes/questions in this thread.

In the thread "Enrollment Codes Part II" there are 8 total posts for the entire year 2011 so far, and over half of those posts are about editing browser preferences, by definition that's not about enrollment codes.

If that thread has few or none watching, then nobody is going to be answering my questions.

This entire site is here to help people and impart information, not be legalistic about the names of the threads.

More than likely since the number of participants is not the same as it was in years past the enrollment code thread and the sale code thread should be officially combined.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

HotChick.. your thought process is valid; however, its just not how it works here (and I had to learn that myself).

Becuz there are (well, have been) so many different deals and specials at CH for both enrollment and sales, having separate threads for each has always worked best. That way, folks dont have to browse through tons of information about one to find the other.

It doesnt matter how active certain threads are or not, its just about keeping these organized and managable for the ease of all users of this site. Nothing more, nothing less.

And thanks for the BD BOGO code, SBJ. Gonna check it out and see whats what with it.

Edit: Misread SBJ's post. BD can be the qualifier, but not the freebie. Blah. lol

Of the 8 questions in the enrollment code thread in 2011, 4 are about deleting cache. So apparently people are supposed to psychically know to go to an enrollment code thread to learn how to edit browser preferences.

Nobody told those people they were in the wrong thread.

It makes no sense to post a question in a dying thread just to keep the thread going. A thread no one is even looking in any more.

The number of people looking for codes on these pages is a very small number. There is no reason a single thread can't be officially used for all codes. Whether they be enrollment or purchase codes.

No matter what you guys say I am more logical than you, and I'm much smarter than you. End of story.
