Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
In the mail today, I received the reliable FREE DVD VOUCHER code 801490 BOGO u pay shipping and processing charge. If they are still mailing out the voucher, the old code has to work some where.
Hang in there guys, if no one is buying/biting the offers they have now, then maybe a good deal is on the horizon. You know they have to pay for their new site....

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
There apparently is no longer an option to enter an OFFER code. If you click on the current offer details, you only see a text description of the offer, but no link to enter an alternate code (hopefully this is just temporary). There is a link in the checkout for a COUPON CODE, but none of the codes listed in this forum ever seem to work there (tried this numerous times). If anyone sees an option for entering the OFFER code, please let me know... on the bright side the new site is much quicker for entering multiple identical items...

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
Well, if they don't reinstate the 'enter code' box that allows stacking offers (such as the BLU 3 for $60/free shipping stacked with B1G1), they're going to be very confused why a lot of former "preferred customers" have suddenly stopped ordering.
As in, "This guy ordered 500 DVDs last year...it's June, and he hasn't ordered anything this year."
If that's the case, CH.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
Offer Codes are now ENTIRELY DIFFERENT.
My homepage has reverted to Buy One Get 60% Off (default offer) but I just received an email saying "visit our new site and get 50% off with no purchase required" (the offer they emailed me about a few days ago after the site was relaunched).
In the bottom left-hand corner of the email it read:
DVD20100111NewSiteSaleRepushT1
I clicked to follow the link in the email and it put the following into my browser URL:
columbiahouse.com/pages/home/homepage.jsp?YCODE=20100111NSSR&YTID=DVD20100111NewSiteSaleRepushT1
But, the offer on my screen still was for the default 60% thing.
Out of curiosity, I went to the shopping cart page and placed 20100111NSSR into the coupon field. Then, I clicked apply. And, it worked. .. I got this message:
The Promotional Code 20100111NSSR has been applied to this order.
The banner on my page then changed to 50% off, no purchase necessary.
So, the codes are now longer and more complex (include letters).
There is still hope!
Edited: Sorry, I cannot post the full URL, as I have not had 30 posts yet.

Another thing. If you have multiple accounts, there is a session ID that is the same even if you log out and log back in with another account (the site sees you as the same person, though it does allow you to login as the new account holder). I don't know if that matters or not, but if you're concerned about ordering under multiple accounts with any special offer that may work in the future, it would be wise to clear cookies. That changes the session ID. Something to think about, anyway.

I knew they changed the format, thanks for the confirmation. I hope they end up with worthwhile enrollment codes too, or I'd never even get this far.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
No problem. I assumed they changed the format .. I was just happy to confirm that the COUPON box will actually be used for the same functionality as the former "Online Code" box (or at least confirming us one step closer that it appears that way).

Their lack of BD deals and lackluster website and selection have me really considering closing out my accounts and just taking my business elsewhere. Hell, most of the movies can be gotten new or used for less within a few days of release through Amazon and other places. 20 bucks a movie just isn't that much of a "deal" for me anymore. Fuck CH if they want to close the doors on the bargain hunters.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
^well, the NSSR clearly stands for ... NewSiteSaleRepush (as was listed in the email, bottom left hand corner .. mentioned in my original post). I think the first four digits are the year ... not sure though ...
20100111NSSR ... okay, someone figure out that middle part.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V
So my winking smilie () was too subtle with respect to the whole "guessing the first letters of all sale statements is gonna be easy" .... LOL.
