No Free Kung Fu Panda Blu-ray (WOW...Free Again)

Just received a cancellation notice saying that my order for Kung Fu Panda was being cancelled because they were out of stock. This was the "Free with Funcash" glitch from 10 days ago. Still showing up as "Processed" and "Pre-order" on my order history. Oh, well. It was worth a try!!!

EDIT: Placed an order for my "replacement" free Blu-ray Kung Fu Panda. See Post #10 on, below. Columbia House makes amends for their "mistake".

Add 1 more to the tally. Got the paper notice on Friday I wish I had known before the B1G1 ended.

I guess I'm glad I went ahead and placed a second order with the KFP as the buy and another as the free one. At least I'll get a copy for a discounted rate.

Just got this email:

We received your pre-order for Kung Fu Panda. Due to a systems error on
our part, we processed your pre-order and sent you an order confirmation
with the price listed as FREE, instead of the correct price of $19.95.
This error also caused this item to be canceled from your order.

We value your membership and would like to offer you the opportunity to
receive one FREE complimentary copy of Kung Fu Panda. We will also
waive the shipping and processing charges.

To redeem your FREE copy, just log-on to columbiahouse.com and use
promotion code ####### at checkout. If you have already received a letter
from us regarding this issue please disregard it.

If you have any questions, you may contact us by email at
columbiahouse.com or call us at 800.262.2001.

Sincerely,
Tabby Heck
Customer Service

The code they gave me isn't valid. Tried getting it to work bluray and the regular widescreen version and it wouldn't take.

I got the exact same email with the exact same results as you did. What is interesting is that my original order was never canceled from my account. Maybe they are just letting it go through...

I got the same email for all three of my accounts. Just like everyone else, the code doesn't work. Either way, this is an odd development. Although the $19.95 price the email quotes would seem to suggest they're offering us the DVD, not the Blu-Ray. Still if they actually want to give me it for free I'll take it.

I received the email as well. The code is active. I entered it in the usual code box, NOT the box at checkout. I then added the regular DVD of Kung Fu Panda, and it came up free.

ETA: Blu-ray is coming up free in my cart when I add it! Nice!

I'm new here... What was the actual code in the email? Was it actually the ####### showing in the email?

Working for me as well. The code seems to work on all versions, including the DVD two-pack that includes what is apparently a direct to video sequel.

When this glitch first started, I placed an order or it two times, once under both of my active accounts. Today I got the same email as mentioned above, and for what it's worth the code is the exact same for both accounts, and I assume the code is the exact same for everyone. I wonder if the code would work on an account that didn't order it when the glitch was working.

Anyway, it's working for me, awesome.

It doesn't make a lick of sense to me why CH would be doing this, but I'm not going to complain one bit.

The code worked for me on the BLU-RAY version on 2 accounts. (got 2 emails)

2 Blu-Ray Kung Fu Pandas 100% FREE and FREE SHIPPING!!!

This is awesome on Columbia Houses part. To offer free shipping on top of it all is stellar.

Thank you Columbia House!!!

Think the title of this thread should be updated.

Finally got it to work. Hopefully it won't get canceled this time. Kudos to CH.
