Yes, you can have a CH.com account in addition to regular club accounts.

Last I checked, the fulfillments for CH.com are two DVDs that can be any price, and shipping is always free. The downside is that Columbia House recently raised prices on all CH.com titles and there aren't any good deals there anymore. Sale offers are not allowed at CH.com; what you see is what you pay. But if you can find some enrollments and fulfillments that you want, just joining and fulfilling can be a decent deal.

Be aware that the membership terms now require members to buy additional titles at yearly intervals. So, it might be best to cancel the account when you have fulfilled it.

No S&H or tax. I got "Juno" 2-disc and "There Will Be Blood" 2-disc as my fulfillments, a flat $16.95 each. 1-disc new releases are only $14.95 each.

But that's not as good as cycling an account in the regular club--even if you get the first 3 for free like moviehead21 did.

Regular account: average cost $4.80

CH.com: $10 + (to use your example, Kory) 2 x $17 = $44 for 5 DVDs, or $8.80 each.

CH.com: best deal using moviehead21's rebate and getting $14.95 DVDs, instead: $0 + $30 = $30 for 5 DVDs, or $6.00 each.

So, yeah, if you're having trouble getting accounts approved, or want a CH.com account for some other reason (like the windfall a few months ago with the B1G1 code that worked there), then go for it, but financially it's not as good a deal.

And I know you can get cheaper DVDs to fulfill there, so that's always an option IF there are cheaper DVDs that you want. If you're just buying them because they're cheaper, and not because you really want them, then you're actually spending more money instead of saving. I'd rather spend $4.80 per DVD for ones that I want, instead of $3 per DVD for 3 I wanted and 2 I didn't but got just because they were a good deal.
