I wasted 10 minutes looking around before realizing that the $5 cap doesn't work on box sets. So this code is worthless as long as 802349 is alive. Oh well. Thanks thejester.

It's very rare for any kind of shipping code to work with box sets. I always check these codes with a set first before I start to build a cart of stuff. That way I know within 30 seconds or so what types of DVDs I may want to order.

If it's a B1G1 code I check "special price" sets under $19.95 to see if they will garner a free selection and the maximum value for that free selection with purchase. With the new state for FC it's the best way (if any) to purchase these titles from CH.

It certainly looks like I got the benefit of the B1G5 code w/o any further obligation to CH.
I spoke too soon. I returned from vacation to find that CH billed me $219.40. When I called to inquire the reason, I was told that my use of the B1G4 code obliged me to buy more fulfillments, even though the code never brought up a sign-in page that explicitly said so.

Becasue I closed my account after my orders arrived, CH charged for the fulfillments they claimed that I owed. Talking to a supervisor did no good, so it looks like I'm stuck.

They added Patton and The Longest Day to their Blu-ray list. But where's Master & Commander, Mrs. Doubtfire, Be Kind Rewind, Bee Movie, There Will Be Blood, Batman: The Movie, etc? I could easily have spent another $100 if they had added those.

I haven't seen that in some time. No current codes do this, do they? The few I checked didn't...anyone check them systematically? TIA

^This *may* not be too bad as those "special price" selections are treated like box sets and rarely get free shipping. You would get your "free" title for an additional $1.99 over the cost of the "special price" item + its' shipping. Treat the "free" item as a ~$5 average price for optimized and then look at averages, fulfilled or not, can't get new account opened, is it a better overall price than elsewhere, etc. for the "special price" title to determine if it's worth it to you to take advantage of these codes.

I checked my balance today and it went from $57 to $110. Turns out that they charged me twice for I'm Not There AND Teeth, there is one order in the completed orders section and one order in the pending orders section. They better not make me go through the hassle of sending those things back and waiting months for a refund, I'll happily return them, but they are going to refund to my account quickly.

I noticed that I have been charged a tiny bit over what I expected too. Any way to have CH send you a total of charges or somewhere on the site? I only see the last 10 transactions, and I made a lot more.

I tried entering most of teh codes and they did not work, got :We're sorry!
We don't recognize the online code you entered. Please re-enter the code or shop with the offer on your Member Card for great savings.

Any advice?

I didn't find any problem with the upper set of codes but the lower set seems to be mostly dead. The only one that seemed to work was the second from the bottom.

805798 - b1g1 + 60% off (Exp 6/30/08)

To wait for more codes to come in. That's all you can do. I am in no hurry to buy anything from them again since I spent about $140 with the B1G1+Free shipping stacked with the default B2G1 Blu-ray deal last two weeks.

The only thing I have ordered from CH in the past year is during the only two Blu-ray related sales they have had. I will welcome those forever!

I e-mailed CS and got a note stating that they had, in fact, double ordered for me. I'm going to fight them so my pre-orders don't ship late, but I'll probably lose. They'll refund the orders, but right now they are insisting that I return them and wait for them to process, which anyone on this thread knows, can take weeks, months, or sometimes never even happens. That is unacceptable so I gotta jump up their ass and fix this.

Two titles I highly recommend are listed as $5.95 clearance items. A B1G1 w/FS would give them to you for $5.95 total:

Baby Doll
Who's That Knocking at My Door

But didn't we establish that B1G1 w/FS codes for >$20 titles hadn't been offered? Not trying to be snotty, just making sure I didn't miss something...

Here's one of my orders from a couple weeks ago:

Leon: The Professional Deluxe Edition 3592409 Shipped $0.00
I am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang 3818507 Shipped $5.95
Subtotal $5.95
Shipping & Processing $0.00
Tax $0.00

Total $5.95

I just used a regular B1G1 + FS code.

Wow vcuram. Do you recall which code? That's a heck of an order, esp with Leon an expensive/not for enrollment title.

i had the same thing happen to me on my last order from the B1G4.. i argued on the phone going up the chain of people.. they would not fix that even though i told them i have proof of what i was charged etc..and had screen shots of the screen and it don't say anything..about that....

so after about 2hrs on the phone i told the supervisor send it to collections then i wont pay it.. told them i closed my accounts that were fulfilled and now they trying to say i had 3 more to buy on 3 of my accounts.... that i used b1g4... i told them they just mad that i used that code on 3 of my accounts.... and funny they do this after i close my accounts. i left them open just closed them last week after i got everything and paid for the stuff....

so i have 3 accounts they are doing this to me.. so i don't care it can go to collections agency and i will fight them too.. told the lady don't ever expect me to rejoin with the club... they are starting to become bad about this stuff....

so everyone who used the b1g4 code keep a close eye on your accounts.....

good thing is i always used the bill me option. so i will fight the collection agency when and if they do decide to send it to collection agency...

you guys are freaking me out, but i keep checking my order page and it's all good

even my f.c. is at the right amount

i still have two orders to be fulfilled, one that used Rambo as the B1 and one that used Dirty Harry as the B1

they all say 'awaiting credit approval' which is how a lot of my past orders were until they shipped out, so i hope these are good to go.

so far CH has done all my orders correctly

well this issue came up after then sent the stuff then they try to say it need 3 more to buy etc to fullfill... so good luck. but seem they let you get the stuff then they hit ya with a bigger bill....

but i wont worry i will let it go to collections then when collections trys to get the money form me i will tell them hey i have proof they are full of crap .. and it not then oh well its on my credit and i will still fight that..

just keep a close eye on your account......
