300 - Will you order from CH?

Ok, 300 is finally available for preorder. Are you planning on ordering it from Columbia House? Especially now that HD is availble...

With the mix-up that happened with the Pan's Labyrinth Special Edition, I was a little hesitant, but with the current B1G1 + Free Shipping code I decided to give it chance. Hopefully they send the correct version. With all the variations of this release, it's hard telling what will show up in my mailbox.

So how about you?

I already pre-ordered it from WB, and it is hard to cancel their pre-orders, so no.

The HD-DVD version for me with a Criterion(most likely Red Shoes) as the freebie.

If I could get a stinking application to go through yes, even though I was pretty underwhelmed in the theater.

What prices are the HD's showing up as?

$29.96 for the HD-DVD versions of Blades of Glory and 300. I didn't bother clicking on the BR link, so I'm not aware if there is a price difference between the two formats.

EDIT: $26.21 for the BR of 300. The same $29.96 for the BR of BOG.

Thanks SBJ. If I can get in, it might be the time to make the jump, if I can find a good deal on a player.

Also, I believe you currently get an additional 10% off your order when pre-ordering 300.

EDIT: It's 10% off the REST of your order, so anything else in your cart in addition to the 300 pre-order.

Well, since you asked, for me the movie 300 falls into the category of "I wouldn't watch it if you paid me". So no, I won't be buying it from Columbia House or anywhere else.

CH quite often ships out high profile preorders a week in advance. I've actually received my Casino Royale preorder the Monday before it was released.

You know, I probably WILL simply because I can use a B1G1 code and get this for the equivalent of like $11 & change (for the 2-disc). And I'm sure I will use it for trade bait if there happens to be an in-store exclusive I can't pass up.

yep.

pre-ordered the 2-disc SE along with the Monster Squad 2-disc.

MS comes out the week before 300 I believe so I wonder if they'll just wait and ship both to me at the same time? that would be great.

I plan on pre-ordering it and receiving the Pan's Labyrinth 2 Disc that they forgot to ship me instead. Then making angry phone calls and emails. ...not so sure yet.

If I hadn't downloaded it first, I would NEVER have watched it or liked it so much. I figure I should pay for it the 2nd time around.

Maybe, but only if no B&M store has an exclusive bonus disc.

So similarly, I rarely use CH for preorders, as I already buy things twice (or six times) too often.

Nope. I hope everyone enjoys returning the 1-disc version they receive in order to obtain the 2-disc version they actually ordered.

I just ordered the HD-DVD/DVD combo. With the current (expires today) code for 60% off other DVD's plus free shipping on three or more, I bit with 300 as the lead purchase. Pretty much the only time I order from CH is when they have a good free shipping code.

I got my copy of the 2 disc SE in the mail today and surprise, surprise, it actually had a slipcover. I was shocked that they actually sent the 2 disc after all that went down with the Pan's Labyrinth fiasco.

I preordered 300 SE a week ago and I still didn't get it. I just got the shipping notice that it was sent out yesterday.

Same here. I was hoping to avoid a pre-order experience like the one I had with the Ghost Rider SE (3 copies of SE ordered, 3 single-disc versions received, all 3 returned, 2 replacements received + still waiting on the 3rd). I'm glad to report that my 300 SE arrived today, slipcase and all
