Didn't know which thread to add this to, the Ultimate Superman Thread or the Funcash bucks.

Anyway, Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition shows up as $44.98 when you use your funcash. Used my funcash to basically offset the shipping charges/taxes to basically get the set for just about this price.

Looks also like its best time to use funcash with boxsets, as a lot of these are showing up for a good price. Too bad I don't have any funcash left to spare.

... so i'd have to spend $60 on a crap load of DVDs, only about 4 of which i want to get one good deal on DVDs... i think i'm just gonna order 4 or 5 DVDs and call it a day, then just get Superman and Ran with the funcash, but great deals are out there if u already have the funcash (makes me wish i hadn't already ordered platoon, rain man, the killing, fargo, no man's land without triple fun cash)

I've already ordered most of the under $5 DVDs that interest me without the triple funcash offer. So I probably have to pass this offer. Well, maybe next time.

How do you get this deal to work? I'm going through my fun cash but it still shows up at a special price of 59.96 before any fun cash is applied.

I preordered this through Columbia House, and my order is listed as "awaiting stock." Maybe they took it off the site until they get more back in stock.

Wasn't Ultimate Superman recalled due to a production error? Thought I read something to that effect but I haven't been paying much attention. If so, Columbia House would pull the listing until they could get a new date for stock.

Yeah, Warner's first batch of sets had the old version of Sups 2 and one of the discs of Sups 1 was messed up or something to that effect, so they are issuing replacements for anyone who has a messed up set. I wasn't aware they were going to recall all the sets, but perhaps they have. I'll have to read more on the other thread. I wouldn't have cared if I got the messed up set, I have no problem getting the replacements from Warner. Oh well, hopefully it will be back soon.

My order still shows as pending in my order history, but I've already been charged for it. I'm fine if they are holding sending the orders out until they get the corrected sets from Warners.

Yes, apparently retailers are doing a recall and waiting for new sets. CH is probably doing the same as you know how well they handle returns and such as this, so you know they don't want to deal with it!

There's plenty of more info in that thread. It should be back at CH in a few weeks, hopefully before the end of the year, and hopefully funcash still works on it then because I'll have to use it all up anyway.

I'm no longer seeing my Superman Ultimate as a pre-order on my order history and they have not charged me. I have not yet received an e-mail but I assume it means they are cancelling my order.

I just confirmed with a web support CSR that unless your Superman Ultimate has been shipped (which they can check), it will not be.

She didn't know about the recall, but said this happens when contract issues, etc. come into play, this is how they resolve them.

Did she say your order will be cancelled or just delayed?

Well my original order and my fun cash order for Superman have both vanished.

My order is still in Outstanding Funcash Pending status as of right now. I know I have had orders that shipped still say pending, but now I'm beginning to wonder if it's just a matter of time for it to disappear.

Kind of irritating. I passed on the good B&N and Buy.com deals for this and now they're unavailable. I haven't been able to find this set in a B&M.

Have you checked Target and Costco? Those seem to be the B&Ms that have had stock. I saw some at Target this weekend (69.99).

Found 1 at Target today for 79.99 with several scratches on the front. If it had been pristine I might have bought it just to end my search. No costco in my town and I don't have a membership anyway. Checked Sams and they didn't have shit. Maybe I should hold out on it and wait until the fixed sets come out and its more widely available.

Mine also states pending after four days of having placed the order. I called CH yesterday (and after what seemed like an hour wait to talk to a CSR) was told that the order still seems to be going through but at the same time was told that the set had been removed from the system. The guy on the other end couldnt give me a definitive answer on if or when I would get the set but only that my order was still in the system and was being processed. I figure that it will more than likely get cancelled but if it doesn't that would be great. I went to Target today and found 1 copy of the Ultimate set in really good shape except for one small dent in the bottom right corner. I picked it up for 80+tax. If the CH order goes through I'll return my Target one and if not at least I have a set.

My order placed on 12/1 is still in pending. I had placed another order the same day on another account for a different DVD and it too is still in pending status.

I wish they would let us know one way or the other what is going to happen.

Well it happened. My order is no longer in my order history. My payment and Funcash have been refunded. CURSES!!!!

Our orders are still pending in the system and will probably stay that way for awhile. The very disgruntled CH employee that I just spoke with told me that they are waiting for more stock to come in so they can ship them to us. However, he could give me no idea on when (or in all reality if) this would happen. I'm not sure I believe him as he was a big asshat on the phone. I waited 50 minutes to speak to him and really got no resolution to either of my 2 major problems.

^ Are you really surprised? Just because it takes forever now to get ahold of a CH CSR, that doesn't mean that they're now all-of-a-sudden competent at their jobs.

Yeah it may be hard to get ahold of a CSR but they keep calling my house every single day for the past two weeks even if i say STOP... I don't need to sign up for anymore DVDS ;) LOL
next time they call i will see if i can get some answers to my missing orders ....
