Here's my worry: if you take advantage of this "year end bonus, free dvd" offer, you won't be able to combine this offer with any other. Here's my scenario; I still have 1 regular price selection to buy to complete my CH commitment; but I was waiting for another BOGO offer (hopefully with free shipping) to appear soon to complete that commitment.

So, according to the terms of this "year end bonus, free dvd" offer, "we'll give you a Free DVD when you make your first DVD purchase in January 2007! We will send an email in early January containing a promotion code you can use to activate this bonus offer." Sounds like I'd have to order the free DVD in the same order as the BOGO order, which CH wouldn't allow because it would require entering two promotion codes, right? Anybody have any insight on this?

okay, here's my general take on this, at least from what i got out of the terms on their site... say you buy a DVD in December using a B1G1 deal & free shipping, this still qualifies as a purchase at regular price. So this should qualify you for a free DVD in January where you pay only shipping.

Now here's the question, do you have to use the promo code at the same time you buy the DVD in January... so could I use another B1G1 deal in January, then just get the free DVD later using the promo code

Essentially, it could work out to a B2G3 free with shipping charged on the 3rd free DVD... that's what i got out of reading it... any other opinions would be appreciated

I just got shipping confirmation on Friday for "Clerks 2" and "The Ant Bully". I had already seen the offer on my account. My shipping e-mail for these November releases states that I'm eligible for this FREE DVD in January '07.

Wow i am gonna get a lot of FREE movies it seems ... all my orders I place since Oct have the "with this order you have qualified for a FREE DVD in January 2007 " all of them had PRE ORDERS coming out in December or so ...

didn't even realise but i just checked all my email with the orders and they all had that at the side...

i have the same thing, 8 DVDs coming between my 3 accounts... matter of fact, i'll be happy if i just get 3 without placing any more orders... if thats the case, i'll have one account with an average DVD price of about $3...

The one nice thing about this offer as far as I can tell, is that it doesn't look like the qualifying disc has to be $19.95 or higher. Meaning I can get two $7.95 selections for the price of one.

Wait isn't this just a B1G1 w/o free shipping? Isn't this only a good deal if you need fulfillments? If it were a free dvd, sure I'd be excited, but the way I read it, there's nothing to be excited about. I hope I'm missing something here...

Actually it's more like a Buy 2 get 1 Free offer. But like the other poster said it doesn't appear to be only good for DVD's $19.95 and up. so you could buy a discounted gift center item or a deal of the day and qualify for the free DVD.

actually, we have no clue what this is gonna end up being... as disneyDVDFan pointed out, each of the e-mails from any November order says that we had qualified for a free DVD in January with this purchase... so i may already have 7-8 free DVD ready for January... not sure though...

I second that. After reading this thread I went back and read the offer and it stated this right underneath the offer. Thought Christmas might come again in January but CH is no Santa Claus. Hell, lately some of my dvds have been delivered via Pony Express.

You sound like you're looking forward to it. I don't think this code will be any different than the standard B1G1F codes we've seen before, except we'll have to pay shipping. I bet these codes will be useless...

You're better off closing the account and forgetting all about this "offer/dea'" rather than wasting aother 20+ dollars and shipping charges on two titles. Might as well open a new account and use the ones you want to purchase to complete that commitment. Actually this seems like a sneaky ploy (or so they tinky) for CH to try and keep us from closing old accounts hoping that we don't realize that this deal isn't really a deal at all. Now if we were to receive a free dvd in the new year for just having our account open that would be another matter but this isn't the case.

Well I got my code this morning. Looks like just a free DVD. They gave me a code to use.

Yeah, looks like a regular BOGO, nothing else, oh well

Edit- yeah it is! not a great deal since you don't get free shipping as noted before.

Kinda sucks because my offer is B1G1 when I login.

I knew CH would skimp out on us. Just Like Heaven/Munich was a good promotion. But this just gave us false hopes. I hope nobody placed an order just because of the promise of another one free. Cuz that would suck...

Also the promo code for this offer is 802523. I have two accounts and the redemption code is the same for both.
