CH dvds are made in mexico?
I just have a question, since im trying to pay for my dvds, with selling other dvds from CH, i have noticed that some dvds say in blue print that they are made in mexico, and some dont have that sticker that keeps the box together( it has the name of the movie, the white sticker) and on some dvds the shrink wrap just feels cheap, and also some dvds dont have any incerts, so the question is are these CH dvd are exact same dvds that are in best buy and other retailers?
thx in advance

Yes, they are the EXACT same DVDs. Many DVDs have the "Made in Mexico" stamp on the shrinkwrap, and a growing number- probably the majority at this point- do not come with inserts.
Some CH DVDs don't have the security seal because they have no need for it. I've received DVDs from other online resellers that don't have it also. The only other thing they might not have that you could get at other retailers is the slipcover (CH is very inconsistent with these).
As far as reselling the DVDs, you might know that it's forbidden by CH. But if you're doing it on a small level, and a buyer or trader questions the genuineness of the DVD, you can assure them it's the exact same product they'd get at Best Buy or anywhere else, minus the trivialities already mentioned.

I just got the Strangers With Candy movie dvd from DeepDiscountDVD today. "Made in Mexico" stamped in blue, no insert, cheap shrinkwrap...
I had never noticed this with dvds before but now I will be paying attention.

Same DVDs as all other retailers. You may run into the question more often about security seals. Lots of CH dvds do not come with them.
As for selling, be careful, it will get you blacklisted. Why who knows, but they dont like it. This thread will probably be closed soon because the mods dont even like you to discuss it here because some say CH monitors the threads.

I believe that Columbia House doesn't allow selling because of its contracts with the studios, but that's just a guess.
The reason discussion of selling has been discouraged here is that much work was put into creating the resource threads and it was viewed as poor form to talk about using that time and effort as a tool to make money.
However, as market prices for DVDs have fallen, making money by selling Columbia House DVDs has gotten so difficult, with margins tending to be tiny, that the whole selling issue has become moot in recent years.
Speaking just for myself, I don't really care what you do with your DVDs because you will likely soon learn that selling is way more trouble than it is worth. Yes, you can still do it, but you are probably earning way less than minimum wage, so why bother?
That said, I have often done a "watch and sell" in the past: blind buy a DVD, watch it, and sell it as used because I don't want to keep it. If I break even or lose a dollar or two, well, it's cheaper than a rental.
