Best way to get Superman Ultimate Collection
Hello, i just noticed the Superman Ultimate collection (4525804) being listed for $74.96. I have it preordered at amazon.com with a $50 GC, but i was thinking maybe i could save it for later. With tax and shipping it comes to $90 from columbia. I wanted to know what is the best method to calculate the total cost if this is bought from columbia house. I just received an offer for get 6 free, buy one for $14.95 and then you only have to buy 2. Is this the best way to get this set, any assistance would be appreciated.

Not sure if the proper code is out there, but what about the code that gives you 5 or 6 dvds for just about nothing, with 3 to buy. Then buying this set would fufill it, and when they have the box set sales, this set would probably be under $70.

While I don't know what the math for it looks like, the best enrollment would be the 6 free WITHOUT getting the 14.95/9.95 movie. Then, you would owe 3 committments, which the Superman Ultimate collection would count as.

^ Yes, with an LMT type membership the numbers would look like this:
(I am going to assume that $5 off is still working, and a $5.86 average DVD cost)
Enrollment: 6 x 49¢ = $2.94 (6 DVDs)
Fulfillment: $74.96 + $7.99 (shipping) - $5 (web discount) = $77.95 (1 box set worth three fulfillments)
Total: $2.94 + $77.95 = $80.89 (6 DVDs plus 1 box set)
Relative cost of box set = $80.89 - (6 x $5.86) = $80.89 - $35.16 = $45.73
Can you find this for less elsewhere? If not, this is a good deal.
If you were to use a B1G1F deal you could also get another expensive DVD like a Criterion or, perhaps, the Superman Returns: SE for free and that would lower the relative cost of the set somewhat.

LMK thanks since I just signed up for the TV club a couple of hours ago... thanks sorry about thisWith CH.com all DVDs and sets are 40% off (occasionally more) the CH MSRP and are shipped free. There are no Director's Selections to fuss with BUT sale offers don't work either, so no B1G1F and the like.
Although the prices are higher than what you can get things for in the regular club, if you know what you are doing, the advantage at CH.com is much less hassle.

nevermind i found this HOW DO I GET THIS GREAT DEAL? Just pay the one-time fee of $9.95 then buy 2 DVDs in the next 90 days as a member. That's it.
are there any codes to use or the best deals is 2 free dvds with a 9.95 membership ?

My recollection is that the selection for enrollment DVDs is quite limited. But the good news is that you can buy any two DVDs to fulfill at any price (no $19.95 limit) and the shipping is free, of course. Once you purchase your two fulfillments within 90 days, you are good to go. My account is more than a year old now and remains open.
Don't believe the 60% off stuff, hardly anything is ever 60% off MSRP. Almost everything is 40% off MSRP, all the time.
