Cemetery Man is a Anchor Bar release. Don't They not participate with Columbia House?

CH has been very slow to add pre-orders of late. Where is Apocalypse Now Complete Dossier and the new Nightmare on Elm Street?

Or Knute Rockne All-American, Grumpy Old Men/Grumpier Old Men, Pretty in Pink (re-release), Some Kind of Wonderful (re-release), Ace Ventura Double Feature, and so on.

Yes, CH does carry Anchor Bay DVDs. Why they carry some titles and not others is a mystery to the "CHologists" here.

^Thanks. If it doesn't show up in the Columbia House pre-order list, I have trouble finding out about new titles. The "New Releases" list is too big to sift through easily.

I know, that is a pain, which is why I'm here to help.

Also, this is a title I'm tracking in my "regular titles not available for enrollment" thread. Because this is a new SE, it is still not known if this will be available for enrollment.

Keep up the good work

Grand Prix is also an MGM/Warner title and should be available on 9/11 in 2 months. I got this last week and the transfer on this is really stellar.

Poseidon: SE is "Special Price", so it will not become available for enrollment. I would guess that future SEs will also be Special Priced. It will make it easier to know what will, and will not, become available for enrollment.

Interesting. Grand Prix was a big deal when it came out because it had the best "you are there" racing cinematography to date. It was shot in 70mm Cinerama (shown on a wide curved screen) and was very much an "event" movie when I was a kid. Seeing it on a small screen would be like seeing 2001 on a small screen: it just doesn't have the same impact. This one would be a good candidate for HD DVD.

Um, that's NOT cool. If two-disc SE's all become special price, that will definitely suck, cause we won't be able to use them as free items with a B1G1 (if these will also still be around). Also means they won't qualify for the usual 50% off either. Not to mention they'll be way overpriced.

You're right. I wasn't thinking about those issues.

A $26 SE could be used as a fulfillment and to qualify for a regular price DVD freebie. Not as good as the SE being a regular price DVD though.

I expected to see This Island Earth (Universal) show up on the CH site today, but I didn't find it. Any guess as to whether it will eventually show up, or should I add this to my NEVER AVAILABLE AT CH list?

^It's really hard to guess what Columbia House will and won't carry. That title may appear in the near future, if you are willing to be patient.

Someone asked about Cache in another thread. That Sony title just appeared at CH even though the release date was 6/27. Go figure.

For anyone who hasn't checked my list in the first post lately, Columbia House has added a number of new titles in the last couple of weeks.
