Phone Number to Call to Check on Application?
I apoligize if this has been posted before, but what phone number and/or option should I use to contact Columbia House to check on the status on an application? I put in two applications on Tuesday and would like to see if they went through and if so, what the account numbers are so that I can place an order. Thank you.

There are countless threads on this topic, as it seems atleast one pops up a day. Just wait it out, CH sometimes can take a while. If you're not patient, this surely isn't a club you should belong to. You'll most likely get an e-mail when your accepted. Without a previous account number, you're going to have a tough time getting a hold of a CSR who can really help you out. I'm not sure how smart it was to put in two applications at once to start off, but I could be wrong.

The two applications were for one DVD club and one TV club. I'm not going to get an email when I'm accepted because the applications in question were put in over the phone. I've seen people mention in other threads about calling to check for an account number. I wasn't asking how long it would take for me to be approved. I'm just looking for the right number to call to put me in touch with a CSR that can help me. I have a PSN that I can use as well.

Hmmm..I never phoned an account in, so I'm not sure how you would find out if you've been accepted. Now that you put it that way, you have a good question. Check a few of the threads from the past few days, as I recall, the answer to this may have been discussed. I'm pretty sure 1-800-262-2001 is the right number to call, but now I sound like Captain Obvious...

From the FAQ thread at the top of the forum:

Any of the standard phone numbers will work; I use 800-667-0364, most here use 800-262-2001. Since you have a previous account number you are good to go. As explained in the Wolf Husky Phone Bypass thread, call in, then:
Select 1 (for English)
Select 1 (to place an order, whether you want to or not)
Enter account number
Select 0
When you get to the CSR, you can ask him or her about your new application. If the first CSR isn't helpful, call back and try again. As Chris Z said, it is best to wait until the charge is posted to your credit card before calling because you then have evidence that your application has been approved.
