Can someone help a poor idiot out?

I took Columbia House's initial offer this morning using the "C7L" code. Everything went fine until I got to the Payment Options page. I entered my credit card info and clicked Submit, but it just took me to the exact same page again. I re-entered my info and clicked Submit six or seven more times, but it took me to the Payment Options page again and again. I assume there is meant to be a "3. Receipt" page. I also haven't received any email of any kind from Columbia House.

I did see a little mini receipt on the right side of the screen that gave me my Order Total. Is this what is meant by "3. Receipt", or what? It's pretty odd not to get a "Thank you for your order" message after ordering, so I'm guessing something is wrong.

So, basically, what should I do? I really, really, hope I don't get six or seven orders. Should I make another order assuming those orders didn't go through?

I apologize if I'm being a paranoid moron and this is completely normal, but I don't see anything remotely like this covered anywhere else.

I'm assuming that you are putting the CID # in along with your CC #/Exp Date?

If so, what browser & version are you using?

Yes, I'm entering the CID number.

I'm using Internet Explorer. I embarrassingly don't know what version it is, as this computer was given to me and I'm an idiot when it comes to all things computers. It's Windows 98, if that helps.

I actually think it's possible that I might be able to order correctly now, but I'm too afraid to try as I may just be adding another duplicate order.

Edited to add: To contradict myself, I actually just tried to order yet again, and I still can't get to the receipt page.

You can see the version of IE by going to HELP/ABOUT.

Have you tried another browser like Mozilla? You can get it @ "www.mozilla.org". When others have had problems with one browser, another would work sometimes.

During some of CHs' site changes, some have previously reported accessing certain CH functionality using certain browsers.

Also, have you tried clearing cookies & internet temp files(including "offline")?

Worse comes to worse, you could use one of the non-CC codes.

Ah, problem solved. My order went through fine using Firefox.

Thank you very much for the advice.
