I have a question about special prices on boxsets: How often & by how much do the prices fluctuate? I was hoping to fulfill with the Leave It To Beaver boxset, but CH is offering it to me for the special price of $37.46. That's only about $2.50 under to count as 2 fulfillments! I'm wondering if there is any way to "overpay" & get it to count as 2 or if there is any point in waiting for a change...

Lokimok - sets @ $37.46 are among the worst CH buys under normal circumstances. Even with free shipping, you still wind up paying a true cost of ~$23.50. Without free shipping, they are closer to $30 true cost.

Many of these price out at around $30 at DDD; which means they can be purchased for ~$24 during one of the semi-annual 20% off sales at DDD. At least once last year, CH had a B1G1 sale that included sets. I remember getting two of the Benny Hill sets (~$37 @ CH), only having to pay shipping on the second. That brought them down to about $18 each. I've heard folks say that a sympathetic phone operator can sometimes be convinced to charge a couple bucks more to get over the $39.95 threshold for 2 credits, but I haven't done that. Good luck.

Lokimok, Set prices do fluctuate, but usually between 25% and 40% off list price. For a $49.95 list set none of those prices are a very good deal. You probably could persuade a CSR to adjust the price upward to $40, as viking99 correctly says, but then you couldn't use the "$5 off first time web orders" discount.

Or you could wait for a 40% off sale and perhaps get the Limited Edition set (selection 4309605, list price $70) for $42 rather than the regular set (selection 4309506, list price $50).

You might even find the regular Leave it to Beaver set becoming an enrollment in the TV Edition club, but that can't be predicted.
