more than 2 accounts at the same address

Well, apparently, despite what is listed on the site (somewhere) you can have more than 2 accounts at the same address. I already have an account and my brother has one listed at my home address; but I went ahead and gave it a shot in trying to take advantage of the codes and what have you. Nothing in my email that I gave them. but lo and behold waiting for me today were not 1, not 2, but 3 boxes from CH.

The first one was for my brother, the second from my main account and then the 3rd was for my other account that I created last week. Pretty pleased I am.

Here's what I got...(bearing in mind I wanted to upgrade on a couple)

Get Shorty SE
Raging Bull SE
Heat SE
Carrie
Leon
Twelve Monkeys

all for $12.48

I really must stop now...but it's so hard not too!

They most likely won't catch the multiple accounts at the same address, but if they do, you'll make the dreaded blacklist. Better to be safe and fulfill, cancel and reapply.

yep you'll get the accounts to go through but it will catch up to you in a few months and they will blacklist you most likely. Heard alot of stories like this.

The general rule regarding CH is that you can have two accounts per club per house. For example, you may have two DVD accounts and two TV accounts at the same address.

They are all DVD accounts.

Thanks for the heads up. I was actually going to close out my current account before opening up a new one, but thought I would give it a shot anyway.

I'll be closing the old one within the next week or 2.

What if you have 2 DVD Club Accounts and 1 TV On DVD Account?

Do you get backlisted for that as well?

That should be no problem. I currently have 2 regular accounts & 2 TV accounts. I plan to fulfill and close all of them this week. I'm still trying to get the B1G1F code to work on any of my accounts: No luck. I don't want to miss out on FS, so I'm fulfilling everything this weekend with or without B1G1F.

I once had 11 accounts open at once. They caught this and blacklisted me. BUT the upside is I didn't have to fulfill any of them! So I got lots of free dvds.

Yikes. I have two accounts - one TV and one DVD. My fiance (same address) has one TV club - and just applied for another last night. So about how long do you think we have to cancel one of the TV clubs?

Keep it as long as you want. You can have 2 DVD club, 2 TV club and 2 ch.com accounts at the same address open at the same time without any problems or fear of being blacklisted.

I once had 3 DVD accounts open because I got solicited at work to open another one even after I explained that I already had 2 accounts. CH seemed to have no problem with it, and I've had no problem opening accounts since.

But this would make 3 TV accounts.

I think the 2 acct per address may eventually be eliminated now that BMG has taken over. With their music club, I was never able to get more than 1 acct. I've had multiple accts at CH for long periods of time. But for some reason, I have only gotten 1 approved recently.

BMG hasn't taken over anything.

Columbia House bought BMG Music Club and then applied the name to their music club service. This all affects the DVD club in precisely no way.

http://www.futuremusic.com/news/may2...mbiahouse.html

"Bertelsmann AG (BMG) announced that it has purchased Columbia House, the large membership club music and movie seller, for around $400 million."

That's the first part of the article.
