Batman Begins Deluxe Edition - Awaiting Stock
Is this becoming the norm now for pre-releases? To run out on the first day?
Is anyone else as lucky as I am to get this status? I would expect this from a lower profile new releases, but not Batman. |
I pre-ordered it for $12.48 last week and it still says pending. Batman SE and Batman Returns for $10.98 each both still says pre-order, but I'm not too worried. Early days yet. I called CH yesterday about another account and asked about this order at the same time and they told me it was being processed, but might take a while since "some of those Batman movies" had received higher than expected demand. I can wait though, but I know alot of us on here have problems with that -wink-

I've been having problems with a lot of pre-orders that continue to pend long after the release date.

That is the price you pay with CH. You get cheap DVDs but many times well after release date.

The local Suncoast told me there was a "defect," and they won't be getting in new copies for some time.
Anyone heard about this? I assume it's general know-nothing-clerk BS, but he seemed convinced. |
Ordered mine Tuesday night, stil waiting. I got the Batman Forever that they backordered, though!
Who all is still waiting? Are new orders of it going strait through, or are they backordered as well? Xhonzi |
Mine shipped last week, but not here yet. Hopefully it shows up when I check after work. CH used to ship fast, at least in my experience. But since BMG took over, they seem to take a few days more to get the titles to me.
UPDATE: It showed up tonight. :thumbsup: |

Well... now I don't know. My CH status just went to shipped.

I called them up yesterday and spoke with a CSR and she told they were still awaiting new stock since it's been one of their best sellers. They told me that if it isn't shipped out within 30 days of placing the order they send out a letter letting people know they can still wait, or if they prefer go ahead and order a different title.
I told her about the possible recalls to which she was surprised about and thanked me for the information which should would pass along to her supervisors. I think I might just hold out since I'm in no rush and got it for a good price with triple fun cash, and see what happens within the next week or so. |

Mine still says "Awaiting Shipment", while my brother ordered his the day before and his apparantly has shipped. These orders were placed on Monday and Tuesday of this past week.

Mine says, "Shipped" like I mentioned earlier. I don't put it past CH to list it as shipped even though it "technically" hasn't yet.

Well, so much for the speculation. I got my BB from CH today. Deluxe Edition with the comic, in case anyone else is still waiting. I ordered mine Tuesday night, for those of you following along at home.

What is the selection code for the deluxe edition? I search for it yesterday and could not find it.

the selection code on that is 417910, but if you search for it, nothing comes up.
I guess they're either waiting on new stock, or seeing what happens with this supposed problem that there is. |
Finally got mine today that I ordered on Oct 18th with Funcash. 16 days!!!

My brother got his after 10 days or so, but since mine was still "awaiting stock" I just went ahead and cancelled it and I'll pick it up at Costco as they had at leats 25 copies in.

Now it is coming out on the 22nd of december in CH, which SUCKS! :(

I just returned a copy of the Deluxe Edition they had shipped me. I told them to cancel my order (I bought a copy off amazon and it arrived, thus I didn't need the order from them), they said they did, but it never showed as cancelled and then it shows up one day in the mailbox. Hope it finds a good home to whoever CH ships it back out to.

I got the same e-mail. "Unable to fill your order...order cancelled." Well, this was a half price DVD for me on a "buy 1 get 1 at half price" deal.
So, I end up buying a DVD at full price, and get no discounted DVD! I would NEVER buy a full price DVD at CH without an associated discount. They should at least offer a rain check 50% off coupon for another title of my choosing. :mad: |
