I just got an email with the regular spiel of take 10% off all items in your wishlist, but when fooling around with the codes I realized it is stackable. So, using 806068 for ONE of your wishlist items gives you 25% off! When using it for multiple items from your wishlist in one order it only gives you the 15% off.

Please also note that if you do put an item from your wishlist into your cart and subsequently delete it you will lose the extra 10% off since adding items from your wishlist to your cart automatically deletes an item from your wishlist.

viking99 09-30-05 10:19 AM

Pilot - thanks for the info.

Everyone - the 806068 now says good through Oct. 2. Yesterday, on my account, it said it was a one day sale. Just fyi.

Gobear 10-01-05 11:26 AM

I used the code and it was accepted, but the web site didn't reflect the discount or the $5.00 webdvd discount. I called to have that fixed and to pay for the DVDs. but the idiot CSR duplicated the order, so now I've paid for the same discs twice!

Right now, I have a CSR on the phone screwing things up even more. Now she's telling me that the $5 web discount keeps a movie from being a fulfillment! I'mcurrently on hold waiting for a supervisor.

viking99 10-01-05 02:16 PM

^ Good luck. One nice thing about percent off offers is if they fail to go through, we're just left back at the standard 5.84 per DVD deal. B1G1 deals make me nervous because if CH honks it up we wind up buying two more DVD's at 19.95+.

mpaul39 10-02-05 03:01 AM

Good news - the code webpage (http://randomcafe.net/ch/codes.php) is working again. I saw a couple of B1G1 codes, but I haven't tested them.

EL_Cangri 10-02-05 06:55 AM

It works, which is BS since I just fulfilled both accounts last week. GAH!!!!!

cverneau 10-02-05 07:57 AM

Why yes, yes they do work!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

dadaluholla 10-02-05 01:26 PM

Great news! I will probably get the batman and Batman returns special edition with the B1G1 code.

ooops nevermind, it doens't appear to work on pre-orders for me. Ehhh.

viking99 10-02-05 03:07 PM

It looks like the free one has to be a regular title that is already released. The qualifying purchase can be a pre-order.

RTorres481 10-03-05 10:25 AM

You actually could save a couple of dollars if your qualifying purchase is a pre-order. The price is $19.95, as opposed to $21.95 for a title that is already released.

Same here.

Any new codes? All the ones that supposedly ends tonight at midnight including b1g1 already ended for some reason.

Dorsalphin 10-10-05 09:46 PM

I'm looking to fulfill... anybody have an update on any active codes? Looks like all the B1G1 codes expired this last Friday.

movieguru 10-12-05 08:59 AM

I got an email yesterday from CH that advertised a B1G1 special that expires 11/10/05, but when I click on the link it only gives me 60% off additional purchaces after buying 1 at regular price.

I just got one hell of a deal: Gladiator ext. ed. $22.77, batman begins deluxe ed. $12.48, batman se. $10.97 and batman returns se $10.97. All with free shipping and no tax!

Anybody who got the b1g1 email can click on it to get free shipping even if you only buy 1 dvd and you also get free shipping on boxsets which can save you at least $5.99 or a total of $15 for a large order.

It might not work on all accounts, but I received an email from ch titled " Now Available For Pre-Order: Wedding Crashers (Unrated) & More!" and in that email there is a blue box on top left hand corner saying "GET A FREE DVD...
When you Buy 1 at the regular price of $19.95 or higher!
Start Shopping Now exp: 11/10/05 details".
When I click on that and start adding the titles even pre-orders come out at half price and with free shipping!
I just did another order for Titanic 3 disc SE for $17.97 and once again no shipping. I REALLY gotta stop ordering now :)

sotra 10-12-05 07:16 PM

And here we thought BMG takeover was going to be a bad thing :)

I did some more "testing" and it is only DVDs being released next week that show up at half price when you put them in your cart together with one at the same or higher price. So Saw uncut came out to 10 something while War of the worlds came out to the normal preorder price, but keep in mind that this sale is valid until the beginning of November (10th I think). So by then there will be more preorders that can be had for half price.

sotra - how many fulfillment credits did you get for this? If only one, then I'm not seeing the value here (unless I'm missing something).

None, I did this on a fulfilled account. I know that Batman and Batman returns will eventually become available for enrollment, but I have so many DVDs now that it will take at least a year before there will be enough enrollment selections I want/need to justify rejoining again. So getting these at this price level is the same as bogof and I saved the $5.99 shipping charge on Gladiator extended and Titanic SE (got in a separate order) with this free shipping deal.
On an unfulfilled acct. I used the buy 3 get free shipping to fulfill with Polar Express SE, Wizard of Oz CE boxset and Field of Dreams SE for $50 total.

any valid b1g1 free codes to fulfill accounts out there?

lizard 10-17-05 08:47 AM

807770 is a valid BOGOF code. But it appears to work only on the accounts to which it has been assigned. I don't know of any general ones that will apply to all accounts.

sotra 10-18-05 06:50 AM

Just FYI for those that may have trouble getting free shipping on everything (including boxsets) and good prices on WOOz boxset (23.xx), Titanic 3D (17.97) and Gladiator 3D (22.77) the code 806011 should work for this.

That code works on my fulfilled account, but not my unfulfilled one. Plus, on the fulfilled account, it shows that I haven't responded to my director's selection only after I've entered the code and not before. :hscratch:

People who have received the b1g1 code via email- How long has your account been open?

brianglenn 10-18-05 02:23 PM

is there any way to enter in codes on a ch.com account?

I received the offer code by snail mail. My account has been open for more than a year.

Not to my knowledge. CH.com accounts don't use sale offers. They just have a lower price schedule and free shipping all the time.

Please share the code with the rest of us. I only got the free shipping on any DVD code (806011), but would like the b1g1 code. Thanks :)

drh4 10-20-05 12:24 PM

806011 but not 807770 works on my fulfilled account.
Neither works on a brand-new unfulfilled TV club account. :(

I was referring to the often mentioned 807770, which does not appear to work on most unfufilled accounts (including my own). I got that code in a mailing, as did some others with fulfilled accounts.

That 807770 doesn't work on my fulfilled account.

To elaborate: Until recently most sale offer codes were account specific (unlike enrollment codes, which work for everyone). Unless the offer code was the current or next one on your account it wouldn't work. Then we discovered that some offer codes seemed to work on most or all accounts. That led to some terrific deals.

807770 appears to be an account specific offer code: unless one has it assigned to one's account it won't work. This may presage a return to account specific codes only or there may continue to be both kinds out there. I am inclined to believe that Columbia House is tightening up on its codes but that remains to be seen.

Even without good offer codes, like BOGOF ("Buy One Get One Free"), the regular membership prices provide DVDs at $5.86, a very good price IMHO. Add in the current "free shipping for three" promotion and prices are even better. So, it isn't the end of the world if good offer codes disappear.

Just wanted to put all this in perspective.
