PSN code?

I was trying to sign up for the CH TV club, and used one of the codes aquired here, for more then 2 sets, and it asked me for a PSN code from a mailing. I don't have any mailing, so how do I get the code? Or is there another code where it allows you to chose 3 sets instead?

Hrmmm....is there still a way to get the code? Or am I going to have to just settle for 2 sets?

Please enter the Preferred Status Number exactly as it is on your mailing

I entered the code that you gave above, which, allowed me to pick the three sets that I wanted, however it still wanted the correct PSN number when I filled the application out. Any help would be apperciated.

I'm not sure if you know this, but you can use a previous account number (from any CH club) as your PSN. If you've never signed up before, you might want to register once with just the "regular" offer, and then you'll get a PSN to use for all future better codes.

I'm pretty sure you can call in and use the code. When the CSR asks you for your PSN just say you don't have one. They always seem to accept it without PSN. You will need a credit card though.

This is my first time signing up for CH at all...and I'm really not interested in the regular DVD club. I just want the TV club.

One problem, I don't have a credit card that I could use...and would prefer to order online...

With no PSN and no credit card you probably can't place an order on-line, except by taking the standard deal, which isn't very good, and maybe not even then (I haven't ever tried to process a standard offer so I don't know if they ask for a credit card or not).

You might be able to place a TV Edition membership on the phone (800-861-9505) and ask if you can do it as a "bill me". But if you aren't willing to do a phone order then I would say that you are stuck.

When I signed up last week online and they asked me for the PSN I just made it up. 11 digits at random and it worked fine.

Yes, some have done this. But you are linking your account to someone else's so I don't want to suggest it. Unless you can use something that isn't an account number like 11111111111. Real DVD account numbers start with 50 and have eleven digits.

Ah... Well I know I the PSN number I used started with 06 something... so at least it wasn't a 50. What is the chances of randomly picking someone's exact member number? Pretty slim.... I hope.

Check this out...

I have opened memberships at my home address in my name, and also opened memberships at my parents address in my Dad's name.

Then later, I opened a membership in MY NAME at MY HOME ADDRESS but used a PSN number from the closed membership at my Dad's house... Even though I typed my name & address into the order form online - the enrollment package came to my DAD'S NAME at MY ADDRESS.

Seems they picked up his name from the PSN but still sent it to the address I entered on the website. Strange, huh?

Thought I'd share...

Paul

I think they are just goofy sometimes. They might have let me through with my made up number since I have never had a dvd account before (I had only been in the cd clubs). They might watch the psn's closer for someone who was a returning/repeat member?

What code did you use to sign up?

I've tried every one of the codes given to me...and then, I found out that I have to resubmit my application again...hrm...I wish I could get the PSN thing to work with just using random numbers, but when I tried it, it didn't work.

What actual discount code did you use? And what PSN code did you use?

I tried my account number from my regular dvd account, for the PSN code. I'll see if that actually works.

I THINK you have to wait at least a week. But am not for sure exactly how long it takes to get your "approved" email. Any details anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks!

I emailed CH, and they said that approval takes 1-2 days, I used the $9.95 code twice, with two different names, because I didn't have the code for 3 boxsets at the time...and they said that they don't have a record of either of my orders....

I would use this code; LE5D but I don't have a PSN and I typed several sets of random numbers abd none of them worked...

I tried twice also. So I am going to give up. CH also stated that they have no record of either application! I thought the PSN was your account number. SILLY ME!!!

That was a statement.

It has to be from a closed account.

I tried again, and re-submitted my applications. Yesterday. So, I will see what happens. I have record of the reciepts, so when I email them again, hopefully they will have record of it this time.

Thank you. I did not notice that there was no question mark on your statement/question. I'll try an open one using a very old account. Thanks again for your help!
