'Awaiting Credit Approval'....why?

I pre-ordered the New Scooby-Doo Movies about a month ago, and I checked to see if it's shipped yet (it was released on Tuesday) to find out that it claims that it is 'Awaiting Credit Approval'
I don't have any other bills to pay, I've already paid them all off, and I don't keep a credit card on file, so what could be the hold-up?
I e-mailed them about, and some how they manage to ignore the part about me wondering why it's awaiting credit approval and just tell me to wait for shipments to arrive, do they try to not actually answer your question, or what?

How long ago did you make your last payment? It's possibly still in processing. The easiest way to avoid this is to put a credit card on file.

That sums it up best.

If you're willing to let CH have your CC info, sure... But, and I'm sure I'm not alone on this, after seeing CH ship and charge CCs for Director's Selections and what not, I've always stuck with "bill me later". No real problems to date.

Awaiting credit approval generally means that you haven't paid for your enrollment package or a prior shipment and they need to establish a credit history.

On the other hand, CH's web site is so screwy that it could be nothing and it's already shipped. If you're paid up in full, just check your account history, bug em' about it again.

Everything has been paid for for a couple/few weeks at least, so it's not like it just went through. And the reason I don't have a credit card on file is because the account is at my parent's address, which is not my billing address.

I keep forgetting about the Director’s Selections. An added bonus, for Hawaii members, is no automatic shipment of Director's Selections. I've never had to decline one, and I never had one ship. The bad thing is the shipping takes so l..o...n....g.

If you order a lot of titles with Bill Me Later, it's a pain cuz you have to pay for each title before they'll ship out another one.

What he said. I was told in the past that your balance cannot be over $40 or $50 (I forget which) if you don't have a credit card on file...

My balance was over $70 last week and I had 5 titles from a couple of orders all shipped... So...

Quite possibly a YMMV, anything is possible with CH, but I've *generally* not had any problems with bill me later.

You could always make a one-time-payment with a CC??

Well, I finally got a helpful response, and they said they would reprocess it, although they didn't say why it had awaiting credit approval. Of course now, I go to check the order and it's prodigy, and it originally had free shipping (I ordered it with 2 other movies which already shipped when there was free for 3) and I was supposed to get $11 total funcash because it was a $10 extra funcash for a $35+ order. If it's not one thing with CH, it's another...

I always choose "Bill me later" and then make a 1-time cc payment. That guarantees no unauthorized cc charges, a la director's selection shipping out accidentally.
