So , how did you do on Funcash ?

Now that the b1g1 double funcash is dead, how did you all do? This was the only membership that I ever kept open.

I have $224 all ready for April 21st :)

dvd182 03-21-05 11:31 PM

This also was the only membership I have ever kept open. I have something like $90.

Timsterino 03-21-05 11:53 PM

I have $118, looks like I am getting a Star Trek TNG set.

Tim :-)

PopcornTreeCt 03-22-05 12:37 AM

$57. Not too shabby.

Laser Movies 03-22-05 01:17 AM

I currently have a $100 in funcash. First time I ever really saved up my funcash to use.

searspsycho 03-22-05 03:46 AM

$56 for me. Like (most) everyone else, this was the only membership I have kept open for an "extended" period of time. -biggrin-

movieguru 03-22-05 05:34 AM

I have $318. About $150 was from the b1g1 sale. I just started collecting DVD's so I had a lot more titles I needed than most. I'm saving up for the Smallville TV sets and the Buck Rogers set. I'll wait until the year end redemption period so I can get Smallville season 4 as well. After these titles, I'll still have at least another $100 in funcash that I'm not sure how I'll use yet.

New Rambler 03-22-05 06:43 AM

$167

brooke789 03-22-05 07:10 AM

I ended up with a total fo $190 spread across two accounts. Once I receive all of my orders, I am going to call to consolidate the amount.

Gobear 03-22-05 07:58 AM

I accumulated $147, which I have earmarked for the the Godfather cycle and probably a Star Trek set.

marty888 03-22-05 08:13 AM

$70 for me - although I've had lots of memberships over the past 4 years, this is the first time I'm hanging around to use funcash.

Got $83 on one account and $30 on another. This is the first time I keep accounts open that long!
Thinking about some CSI season.

fryinpan1 03-22-05 08:42 AM

I have $82 in one account and $41 in a another account. They have different names and addresses on the accounts so I can not combine them.

kar10 03-22-05 08:44 AM

130

and planning to get more :)

SFranke 03-22-05 08:46 AM

The CSR I just spoke with said only one other member had as much Funcash as I have. I must either kill that guy or steal his Funcash.

Same here. $288 in one account being held open. Might try to consolidate FC for the first time too.

lizard 03-22-05 09:14 AM

$122. But $36 of that is a mistake (they credited it back when I exchanged a damaged funcash order from the last time), so I probably shouldn't use it for ethical reasons.

This will be the second funcash cycle for this account, the only one I have open at present. Just can't get it closed before Columbia House throws another deal at us that is too good to pass up!

lizard, you are such a nice guy I think you deserve that bonus Funcash. Spend it!

Jim 03-22-05 09:20 AM

$2. Can't wait until April!

 Thanks for the compliment. But I tend to be hard-nosed when it comes to making Columbia House fix mistakes that cost me (it took numerous calls and returns and credits before they got that last funcash order sorted out, but they eventually got it right... except for the extra funcash). So it doesn't seem quite right to take advantage of a mistake that benefits me.

Once, I didn't have a choice though. They said I had a credit balance on an account I wanted to close and no amount of explaining that we were square would convince the CSR. She sent me a check for the credit. Go figure.

Are you in the 4 figures?

ITALIAN926 03-22-05 07:00 PM

That would be 125 orders. I doubt he got that high ! haha

SFranke 03-22-05 09:20 PM

I'm rather far from $1000, but we've still got 2/3 of a year left to go before December.

basaro 03-23-05 10:55 AM

I ended up with $64. I'm going to use $30 to get Dr. Strangelove, and probably save the rest and try to build up some more for later in the year.

kenbenobi 03-23-05 12:11 PM

I only have $88, but I'm tempted to place a $98 order which will give me $141 in Funcash...
A question for you all. When redeeming Funcash, do box sets come up at retail price, or at their "special price"? I want to get the new Red Dwarf volumes, which actually have a great price of 26.21 each. Will they still be that price with Funcash?
