Box sets up to 40% off again

I knew it was coming because when I was ordering The Dukes Of Hazzard: The Complete Second Season (3509908) last night the price kept changing in cart from $37.49 to $29.97, today is staying at 40% off. All the other box sets I checked are also 40% off.

Also, Collateral / Minority Report 2-Pack is now $18.36

Got Dick Van Dyke Season 3 41.97
Taxi Season 1 23.97
and Adv of Ford Fairlane as my third for 7.95.

Too bad I already had pre-ordered on another account Return of the king, Dukes season 2, & Gilligan season 2. I could have gotten them for a lot less. I sent an e-mail asking to credit my account for the difference. I should not be penalized for pre-ordering.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to get Matrix Collection, Rocky Anthology and RotK.

By the way, the Weird Funcash phenomenon is sitting out this box set sale.

Thanks for the notice. I might have to spend my last couple funcash dollars and pick up S1 of Northern Exposure before it goes away with all the other Universal dvds.

This is so odd, quite a few of the sets and other things I have clicked on have had the " Sorry, we're unable to display prices at this time. Please check back later. " message. Wonder what's going on.

Man, with this going on, I wish CH would've hurried up & added Voyager S4-? to their inventory by now??? I know there's usially a delay for Star Trek type titles, but this is getting old.

Guess I'll have to choose something else then for my 3 fulfillments??

The Collateral/Minority Report 2-pack is a great deal ($18.36) considering it's 19.99 to pre-order Collateral by itself.

I'm going for the Manchurian Candidate 2-pack myself.

I've got $33 in Fun Cash to use up quick-like; what to do, what to do? Ultimate Matrix Collection for $24.11 shipped after FC? Chaplin Collection 2? Something else a better deal?

Ok. I ordered Freaks and Geeks with $30 in funcash for a total of $21 w/ tax and shipping. A great deal, sure, but $8 shipping? Ouch! That's really ridiculous.

That was my first funcash order, as last year it seemed to charge you full retail for funcash items, but maybe I am remembering wrong.

If you're a member of the DV2 club, you don't pay for shipping on Funcash orders.

Funcash orders charge the regular price for non-box set items, and the 25% off [or 40% off when available] price for box sets.

Does anyone see an expiration date for the sale? The sale shows up on the front page but isn't showing yet in my offer details section. I also received a "Sets Sale" e-mail but didn't notice a date.

The last one went for a week, didn't it? They've had one-day 40% off sales in the past, but they're usually advertised as such, aren't they?

I was looking forward to this sale, but apparently Gilmore Girls: Second Season is not affected.

Well, I didn't have the 40% off sale until this morning, now the prices have gone up.

Crazy.

I'm getting the sale prices, Eric F.

I called CH, and the CSR said this sale will last a month. I hope that's true, but I think she may have been confused.

If the set you want isn't at 40% off, try putting it in the cart anyway. I have been waiting for this sale to happen so I could use accumulated funcash, but the set I had my eye on wasn't on sale. I put it in the cart and it came up at the 40% off sale price.

So... try putting a set in the cart even if it doesn't appear to be on sale... YMMV.

I already have them, but i noticed that all the Stargate SG-1 sets are 40% off: $41.97. That's worth two fulfillment credits, putting the relative cost in the ~$20 range, depending on the shipping options one chooses.

Some more obsure sets on sale are the excellent Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes TV series:
The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes Boxed Set Collection, $35.97
The Return Of Sherlock Holmes DVD Collection, $35.97
The Sherlock Holmes Feature Film Collection, $35.97 (but these movie length stories are not as good as the first two sets)

40% off at CH.

Crap, Matrix Collection just went up about $15. I could have sworn I saw it for $45.xx last night and now its $59.95.

I'm kicking myself today!
Batman The Animated Series Vol. 2 was about $26 yesterday, and Superman The Animated Series was about $16. I was going to pre-order both of them today, but they've both gone up to about $31 and $21, respectively.

You're not the only one. I was eyeballing MI-5 series two for $48 and a couple of stocking stuffers last night, but was also considering ROTK extended at $24 and another yet to be determined box set. Decided to sleep on it, and now they're back to $60 and $30 respectively. Should have known it wouldn't last for the pre-orders, as they're all back to 25% off. Slightly ticked about ROTK, though. Gotta use my funcash on it now. A literal case of you snooze, you lose.

Btw, Hitchcock Signature makes a nice 3 commitment fulfillment at $59.97. Got that during the last sale.

Same here. I was about to order it last night but did not get a chance. This is a terrible price and that is with the 40% off.

Tried that with Gilmore Girls S2: It works with the funcash cart, but not the regular cart. Since funcash = no free shipping, still a bust for me, though.

It was pretty weird to see pre-orders such as "Men Behaving Badly" for $11.99. I don't recall pre-order box sets qualifying for the 40%-off sales.
