I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat that I am. I pre-ordered goodfellas SE around 2 months ago and it is sitll showing up as pre-order even though it is release.

My preorder has just moved into the awaiting credit approval phase and my credit card now has a pending charge from CH.

My Goodfellas SE says Awaiting credit approval. They did this with my Predator pre-order last week. They shipped it around 8/12 and I received it 8/16. Receiving new release DVDs a week after release day through CH at around $7.50 each is still better than paying $15-$20 and getting them on release day.

At lunch time today, mine still showed pre-order. Now it shows awaiting credit approval. I'm anxious for this to process so that I can cancel this account and have an absolutely clean slate (no active accounts) with CH next Monday. That will give me two weeks to get at least one (and hopefully two) new accounts during free shipping.

Mine is "awaiting credit approval". BTW, I preorder this and purchased another 19.95 movie (already received it) used a webdvd $5 off coupon. My account still shows I need to purchase 1 more dvd(I used 72sd online). They lowered my cost of this dvd to 14.95 (19.95-5.00) but on my original receipt it showed that I fulfilled my Purchase Requirements with 2 dvds. Anyway, when they ship this order will it then show that I have 0 dvds left to buy? Thanks for the help!

It should show that you have completed you obligation when it ships. Earlier today, my account status stated that I had purchased 0 DVDs toward my obligation when Goodfellas was awaiting credit approval. Tonight, it said that I had purchased 1 DVD toward my obligation and Goodfellas is now listed as pending.

This has been going on, with me, for a couple of months now with pre-orders... I usually have the DVD in hand by the time that the website updates it as shipped... Still showing "pending" on my account but I wouldn't be surprised if it's sitting at home when I get in this evening...

How long does the website take to change a DVD from "pre-order" to non-pre-order?

I would like to order "After Hours" as a $19.95 fulfillment title, but when I go to my cart it puts the price to $14.95 and lists it as a pre-order even though it's been released.

Wow, has anybody received their copy of Goodfellas yet? It shows that it has shipped but because it was part of another order it reverts back to original order date. Does anybody have a clue when they shipped out, thanks for any help.

Mine shipped last Thursday or Friday. I received it yesterday.

I ordered mine the day of release Aug-17th and received it yesterday, the 23rd. I learned from experience to never pre-order from Columbia House, you'll get yours faster if you order it on the release date.

My experience differs.

I have pre-ordered from CH a bunch, and I usually receive the disc on the release date, which means they mailed it a few days early.

My Scorsese box set arrived yesterday, which is much slower than normal.

I agree Richard. Pre-orders used to be sent express free of charge and arrive the day after it was released. Guess I am spoiled now since it appears they stopped doing that.

My experience is that they express ship A titles that are also new movies, such as Matrix or LOTR. Although Goodfellas is a big title, CH considers it to be a catalog title and doesn't use express shipping.

They didn't with Eurotrip either Guess that wasn't a big enough title for them.

OK, I've been wrong before... I'm still waiting.

Check the mail today and guess what? No Goodfellas. I found an email where they said it shipped on 8/20. What gives, how long should I wait until I contact them and what is the most effective why to contact CH? Thanks for any help.

aspikes: Give it a few more days. Not sure what the delay is with Goodfellas, but I got my shipped email on 8/18.
