CH Offer Codes (NOT Enrollment Codes)

Hey everyone. I'm having a tough time getting my cart to do what I'd like it to do (using the webdvd link). I know this is a known glitch in the system, but I'm curious to see if using a different offer code on my account would help matters any... aside from that, it would be nice to just see what deals I could work out with the various offers that are currently running. So could anyone with offer codes from mailings please post them here? Sorry if there's a thread for this sort of thing already. I couldn't find it.

So far as I am aware, the $5 off website glitch is independent of offer code.

Offer codes won't work on your account unless you have the offer or it is the next one you are about to get.

A few for you:

40% off: 851301, 851303, 851304, 851305, many others

50% off: 846106, 846107, 843108, 804101, 804103, 804104, 804135

$10 off: 801703, 801713, 801302

$9.95: 807235

AOS: 806212, 805207, 806207

Less than $15: 801705

There are several ways to get get the $5 off despite the glitch, but I expect that you have seen the posts on that since it has been said over and over and over...

Thanks for the codes. I've already tried swapping out titles and calling CS. Both avenues were dead ends. I'll try some of these codes now. If anybody has suggestions other than CS or changing titles, I'm all ears. Thanks again.

Yesterday, i logged on and had the $10 off sale. Later, I logged on again and had the All On Sale offer. How can I get the $10 off sale back?

Their prices keep changing - I had the Schindler's List gift set for $20.95 in my cart for two days, but I couldn't decide what else to buy. Now it is back to $34.95! I shd have bought it right away.

You said calling CS was a "dead end". When you call in, say that you are having trouble placing an order on-line and ask to speak to a "web specialist". The web support people can pull up your account on the $5 off web site, verify the problem, and place your order for you. I have done this many times and it was never a "dead end".

The other approach is to place the order on-line then ask by e-mail to have the mistakes corrected. The first e-mail response will likely be a useless canned one. But subsequent messages will be from real people. A problem with this approach is if the glitch takes the order total below $30 the $5 discount won't appear. It would be a pain to try to have the prices adjusted and have them add back in the $5 discount. But it could be done. I never use the e-mail approach, but others have reported success with it.

I spoke to a web specialist and explained the problem I was having. He said he couldn't find the offer code to duplicate the problem in my account... I don't know why he'd need a code. The offer was my default. I got the impression the guy didn't know what he was talking about. I kept telling him what I was seeing and what was supposed to be happening, and he kept putting me on hold and asking for my offer code. Eventually I gave up. It doesn't matter. I ended up taking 2 box sets and a DVD for free shipping... and the cart worked properly with 3 items.

login using www.columbiahouse.com/webdvd/

$5 off your first online order of $30 or more.. but it WILL screw your cart up. It takes some patience to save $5.

Does anyone know what the current 40% online offer code is? I just got a new membership approved and get the $10 offer after logging in. However, I'd rather get the 40% off code (makes buying a $14.95 title cheaper by $1 - $8.95 vs $9.95).

Have you received your enrollment packet yet? You might get a 40% offer code in that. There are many 40% off codes, one I received a few days ago on an existing account was 801360, but you'd have to be lucky for that one to be on your account also.

But you are right, a 40% code is the best offer for ordering a $14.95 DVD as a "third" for "free shipping for three".

just to let u guys know i had trouble getting the $5 off $30 web order to work AND get both dvds i was buying to show up as nonsale price so they would count as enrollments....so i called the CSR after placing an order for each dvd and she just credited the $5 to my CC even though i had two separate orders. i asked her if she would rather cancel my two individual orders and place a new one and she said she could just credit my CC. she was very nice and it did go thru

You are mistaken. Most, but not all, new accounts get "40% off" as the first offer. But there are many other offers that Columbia House will apply to an account every month or so. They also use e-mail offers, the codes for which we don't know.

Offer codes will only work on one's account if they happen to be the most recent, or next, offer on the account. They do not work for everyone like enrollment codes.

Most sale offers are not good deals but some, like "40% off", have uses during "free shipping for three" promotions.

This is a new account and it is still showing $10 off. Thanks for posting the codes, but none of them worked for me. I guess i'll have to wait a day or two before I can fullfill.

Sorry I was mistaken about the codes.
Personally, I like the $10 off better, for example
- $19.95 title: $11.97 (40%) vs. $9.95 ($10 off)
- $21.95 title: $13.77 (40%) vs. $11.95 ($10 off)
- $22.95 title: $13.77 (40%) vs. $12.95 ($10 off)
Just wonder why you must have 40% off???? You get Free Shipping on 3 until next year??? I see your $14.95 title problems, but why dont you just take Harry Potter 3 or Spider Man 2 or something similar?

With "40% off" deal $14.95 titles are $8.95. This allows them to be used as a "third" for free shipping. The "$10 off" offer is more expensive and usually isn't useful unless you REALLY want one of the expensive DVDs right away and aren't willing to wait to order it on the next account.

Even $9.95 is much more expensive than the average DVD cost of a Columbia House membership (usually $7.16 per DVD, but much less under certain circumstances). So, it doesn't make sense to buy a DVD for $9.95 when one can get it for $7.16 or less.

I see.
Maybe I am the one who dont care too much about $8.95 for a $14.95 title if I can get Harry Potter 3 for $12.95 Thats why I didnt go with 3-for-25 sale on my accounts.
Again, it's just me.
