^And the reason for listing only one title is that it was the "bonus" for which you likely paid $9.95. It is considered a fulfillment. The 49˘ enrollments are considered promotions and don't appear in one's account history. SOP for Columbia House.

If anyone is having trouble with a lot of the better codes that don't work anymore, I just got an offer in the mail last week. It's not the best offer, but it is pretty close. This kind of code used to be the "best code" about a year ago. Appears to require a PSN like those codes used to as well.
It's a 7:2 code but the 7th is $14.95, not $9.95 like some of the better codes. Code is D5V. |

EDIT: All of the older BOGO codes are working as of right now-807747, 807748, 807749, 807750 and 807751. BTW, thewrite1. Great first post.:) |

Enrollment code EBP is still working on the phone today. No PSN req'd.
If I get approved, I'll let you know. |
This might be old news, so I apologize in advance if I tell what you already know.
I got code 42M in an email yesterday: 7:2 with the 7th at 9.95. No PSN or CC required. |
808966 isn't working for me as of this morning.

Attention People!
This thread is for Enrollment Codes (3 digit alpha-numeric) ONLY. Offer Codes (6 digit numeric codes) go in this thread---> http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=423563 Thanks! :) |
Then could we possibly get "enrollment" placed somewhere in the thread's title?

To get the thread title changed, pick a post, for example the first post or basaro's post above, and click on the little red triangle with an exclamation point symbol in the lower left. This is the way to "report a post to a moderator" (actually it says "report bad post", don't worry about that). Ask the moderator to change the thread title to include the word "enrollment" and briefly explain why you would like to see it done.
For me, I long ago learned the difference between the two threads, and always try to refer to "offer" or "sale offer" codes when writing about the six digit sale offer codes. But I understand that it can be confusing for Columbia House newcomers. |
I submitted a request for you guys. Hopefully a mod will get it done.

^Thank you pilot and basaro. I didn't want to request it myself because I am trying to teach others here that mods don't bite :D

Someone else should've stepped up. Slackers ;) Thanks pilot, hope that helps clean up this thread. BTW, I'm still waiting for an approval for my EBP app a few days ago. I've got the temp charge on my card, so it should go through. Just need another day or two to be sure. |
^ My latest phone application using a similar code was rejected. I was hoping the letter would say why but it was just the generic "Unfortunately, we are unable to issue a membership at this time."
So, I really don't know if open accounts are limited to just one or if it is something else. |

I used the 42M code on the 25th and got my acceptance letter on the 27th, I didn't need a previous account number and I got to choose the "bill me" option.
I currently have a regular DVD membership (which I recently fullfilled but have not cancelled), and I have 2 TV DVD club memberships. |

If I get approved, I'll let you know. I also have another open account which I've had for 23 months, and has been fulfilled for 22 months. This account has always been open during all other apps in the last 2 years. I use the same mailing/billing info for both accounts, but I use different emails and cc's for each. I've never had any TV accounts. Good luck to all! |
Great news! I enrolled on the phone with the same code and have a similar situation to yours (1 account open for about 3-4 years), but I haven't received any kind of charge yet. Have my fingers crossed though.
Update: I never received any temp charges, but now there is a permanent $12.89 charge on my credit card. So, I assume I got accepted :) Since there's no good codes at the moment I'm in no hurry to fulfill, but I thought they email you your membership number once you're accepted? Or do you have to call in and ask or wait until you get your enrollment package? |
I placed an application by telephone last week using code EBP, and I now have a charge on my credit card, though I have yet to receive confirmation. I also have another open and unfulfilled regular Columbia House membership, which I mentioned about twenty posts back.

Just another of CH's mysteries. |
I got a welcome email, then another one just the other day saying my order is on its way.
|
Yeah, after my first 4-5 accounts they stopped sending me welcome emails, but then I had a couple of accounts were they did again. That's why I was wondering.
|
My discs and my membership information for my second account showed up today; I did not receive a "welcome" E-mail message.
|
Any luck in getting any good TV Club codes to work? Their current offers over the phone suck. I've been trying to submit HDL applications online, but online attempts almost always "vanish into thin air" on me.

I've tried about 4 times now since May. Only once have I received an email notification of my application. I have never received a welcome email and have never gotten any of the DVDs I have ordered. These were all done using the K7L code on the website. Anyone have any tips on how to get accepted (I've had 4 other accounts in the past years and currently have 0 open)?
|
^ apply over the phone. Read back a few pages in this thread to find a code that is working. I have a few posts about the code I just recently used as well as others.
|
^ Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try.
|
I applied for an account over the phone today using C8W and 42E, and neither of them worked. For the first time ever, I got a super pleasant CSR, who actually gave me the offer I was looking for, 7:2, even though I didn't have the code. She spoke to me outside of her script. This experience actually makes me want to call back. Also, I applied online a week ago with 42E, and was approved. I got my package today.
|
^The only "good" code listed here that reportedly still works on the phone is EBP. There are some others that are not listed here.
If your phone application is approved, be sure to check the membership terms on-line before opening your enrollment DVDs. You want to make sure that the CSR got the 7:2 stuff right. It isn't that unusual to get a nice CSR and have him or her make a deal work manually. Being polite and friendly often works wonders. |
