$2.99 for 1st DVD, $1.99 for each subsequent DVD in order - no max.

Sathlin 06-29-06 10:49 PM

Ok thanks, was trying to figure out my per dvd price.
used code k7l

Sathlin 07-03-06 11:20 AM

Does the webdvd coupon still work?
the 5$ off coupon doesn't seem to showup when i go to checkout.

Sometimes the $5 is deducted from the price of one of the DVDs in your order.

I tried a phone enrollment today and the following are all apparently no longer valid:

LMTD
LMYD
C7LD

Has anyone else phoned in an LMTD-type enrollment within the last couple of days? If so, what code was used? I'm looking for a "standard" PSN code that yields [email protected] (free shipping) + [email protected] + 2 fullfilment.

It does look like the above codes are being accepted by the web-enrollment site, however that doesn't necessarily mean that they would lead to an accepted application.

lizard 07-03-06 12:36 PM

^The information is a couple of weeks old, but 38Y and EBP were reported to work on the phone.

I listed several new codes on the previous page that could be tried, if those above don't work:
C8M, C8Q, C8W, 42E, and 42G.

I may try a phone enrollment in a few days and will try some of these out.

Note: FWIW, now that the video club is defunct, the fourth character,"D", is no longer being used on Columbia House mailings.

viking99 07-03-06 12:52 PM

Thanks Lizard. I just called again and they won't accept 38Y. Apparently, something has changed (either deliberate or another one of those long Holiday weekend glitches). We may need to hear from someone who has actually gotten a good-code mailing recently. If that fails, I'll try a web-app. I actually had two go through in Feb-March using C7L but the third attempt put me back in the ditch...

Edit: just re-read your message, I'll try 42G, etc. in a bit. Thanks.

lizard 07-04-06 08:50 AM

I tried a web K7* a couple of weeks ago. No dice. Haven't tried a 7:2 since last year; my most recent account was a TV Edition.

The new codes I listed were all from "We Want You Back" e-mails; I have never received a decent 7:2 code in a mailing.

If we lose phone orders, that would be bad news for those of us with many previous accounts. I hope that it is a holiday weekend glitch.

legend42 07-04-06 02:48 PM

C8W worked for me over the phone about ten days ago.

The coupon needed a $30 minimum to be spent.. i was only buying one dvd..

John Galt 07-05-06 11:45 AM

No dice on C8W either

Pardon me, but how do you extract a promotional code from an E-mail message? I checked the message itself, and could not find anything resembling a three digit code.

Edit: Never mind—I see it in the URL which resulted from when I clicked the link in the message: 42G (5+option for one for $9.95, free shipping, plus two to buy).

Hey Doc; was that 5+1 or 6+1??? I doubt our buddy Lizard would have posted a 5+1 code. :)

lizard 07-07-06 09:07 AM

Had me wondering there! But, yes, I just checked again and 42G is a good 7:2 code with the $9.95 bonus.

viking99 07-07-06 11:20 AM

C8M and 42G are both now invalid for phone orders (as of today). I'm not liking the looks of this. :(

Edit: having failed again, I scrounged up an old (March) email from CH with a 7:2 "standard" offer (code = C88). Pretending to be a normal customer, I clicked the email link and submitted an on-line application. Who knows what's changed on the CH end? They could be linking offer codes to email addresses to phone numbers to zip codes to ???

My last approved web app was in March and my last phone app was in May; so hopefully I appear to CH as somewhat of a non-cycler. We'll see...

The Void 07-08-06 12:38 PM

I just had a 1KK web application approved. I applied Thursday, my credit card was charged Friday and Saturday morning I got the "Welcome to the Club" email. I have a TV club account open and the last account I opened was in March. I can't remember that last time I tried to join by phone, I always apply online.

I don't need to cycle accounts quickly. With about 600 DVDs, one account every few months is enough for me. Now I'll wait for a B1G1 offer with free shipping.

Thanks for the info Void. I'm in a similar situation (now), finding that a new account every two or three months should be all I'll want.

Lizard: you've got mail

John Galt 07-08-06 12:45 PM

Lizard, would you mind sending me an email with that info as well?

friction1 07-09-06 10:23 AM

Anyone have a code for free shipping?

lizard 07-09-06 11:50 AM

You can usually find sale offer codes listed and discussed in the last pages of A list of all offer codes thread. I also have some free shipping codes posted in the Free Shipping for orders over $50 thread.

The current codes aren't very good and probably expire today (we'll find out tomorrow).

thewrite1 07-10-06 10:48 AM

Great news! The old B1G1F code 807748 is now active again! I just used it to buy 2 regular priced DVDs and get 2 free (which completes my membership). Better use it fast, as CH has been changing their codes pretty quickly.

E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T! Thanks for the heads-up.:)

EDIT: All of the older BOGO codes are working as of right now-807747, 807748, 807749, 807750 and 807751. BTW, thewrite1. Great first post.:)

Well, lo and behold, it worked! I got the "welcome to the club" email at 8:21 this morning. I'm wondering if CH is somehow linking phone numbers and/or zip codes to offer codes. Those are two pieces of information that they ask for before the code and, both being strictly numeric, would lend themselves to computer verification. I find it interesting that all of the other 7:2 codes I tried failed but the one they actually emailed to me (despite being four months old) worked like a charm. The plot thickens.... :)

Great Fun Membership

By the way, has anyone else gotten an offer online from CH to join a free trial membership of Great Fun? After purchasing my CH DVDs on a previous membership, I noticed a link saying "save an extra $20". It's an invite to join this lame "Great Fun" club for vacation/entertainment discounts, but it's a free 30 day trial that promises to reimburse you $20 for your CH purchases. My point is, it works! I joined Great Fun, cancelled my membership before the 30 days was up, and got my $20 check in the mail within 3 weeks (!) So taking advantage of a BOGO and 7:2 offer and Great Fun trial brought my average DVD cost down to $3.65 each. Doing it again now under a different membership.

Thanks for the deal! You wouldn't be a CH operative telling us about this in order to smoke out the people who use this board so CH can blacklist all of us, would you?

Just kidding :)

Sort of.

807748 does not work now, at least for me, it just says:

Edit: Ok, the whole site was down for a sec, and when I put the code in, it just said that. Sorry to anybody I scared...

Not to worry--I'm not a spy in the house of love or anything. If I worked for CH, I certainly wouldn't have let you all know yesterday about the old codes working again. Just sharing the wealth is all (wealth of information, that is)!

Nidreu 07-11-06 05:54 PM

Where do I enter these codes? sorry for the dumb question but i dont see any place to enter it.

Thanks for the help.

When you first sign on, click on the details link of the default offer[located at the top of the page]. When the next screen appears, scroll down to the middle of the page and you should see a box for your online code. Enter the code into this box and hit enter. If this is your first online order, sign on at columbiahouse.com/webdvd to get an additional $5 off of a $30 or higher order.:)

richard98 07-12-06 06:30 AM

I got one of those "please come back" emails. The offer was for the standard 7:2, but no PSN or Credit Card required. Might be useful if they pull some of the older codes.

Code = 42K

Nidreu 07-12-06 12:00 PM

Thanks sweet baby james

No worries, I figured you just don't check your email that often.

Current phone codes?

What enrollment codes have people used recently to sign up over the telephone? I have Web applications in, but I'd like a faster, more certain response.

lizard 07-19-06 12:39 PM

^ I think that most of the codes that used to work on the phone are no longer accepted, such as 38Y, LMT, LMY, C7L, and so forth. The only one that might still work is EBP and similar codes, which I will not list here.

My latest attempt at enrolling on the phone led to a "lost" application. But I have another open account and the new published policy at Columbia House is to limit open acccounts to just one. I am hoping for a formal rejection letter that says as much, to verify this.

Good luck.

Thanks. My latest Web application was just accepted, though the order only has my last DVD (of seven) on it, something I will be taking up with customer service.

Don't bother. This is normal CH procedure-they only list one title out of the seven enrollments on your account history.:)
