That P7G D-Ball found and you used is the best non-PSN code we have seen, by a wide margin, which is why ITALIAN926 is so pleased. We get so used to good codes requiring a PSN that we often don't check them to make sure. I trust that you are able to play Region 1 DVDs overseas or you wouldn't be buying them. How does that work? Do you just use standard US equipment adapted to the local power source? A region free player? |
I'm so glad I was able to find that out for you guys, even if it was an accident!!! As for the Region 1 DVDs, we have multi-system 110/220v players that play all regions and regular 110v that are connected to a voltage transformer that play only region 1 dvds. Needless to say, we have a TON of components and our TVs are dwarfed in comparrison to them... Most military exchanges have 110/220 multi-system equipment; they are hard to find at Best Buy or Circuit City but can be ordered.

Another no PSN code:
Columbia House actually sent me a decent "We want you back" e-mail code: P5X. This is a standard 6/2 ($14.95 bonus) code and doesn't appear to require a PSN. Not as good as P7G above, but a decent deal that we were happy to get not so long ago.
[Before someone asks, the code is embedded in the URL of the site that the e-mail links to.] I have been clicking on those "We want you back" e-mails for years and this was the first respectable deal I have ever received. So, check those e-mails and see what other codes come up. |
Im adding P8A, P7P AND P7M to the second best code list to mix things up. None of which require PSN's

Does anyone have a code that you can type in under the section "Looking for the offer in your mailing?"

Once in awhile Columbia House throws a decent sale code our way and it gets much discussed in other threads. (This thread is for enrollment codes.) An example of such a thread is: New CH code for established accounts..... Most of the codes mentioned there no longer work but one that does (on my account at least) is 801050: Get Unlimited DVDs at 50% off when you buy one at regular price. Plus, enjoy a Special Reward and get an EXTRA $10 FunCash with your order of $35 or more! But that isn't a very good deal because funcash has become almost worthless. |
issue with new account
I have tried to create a new account with many on the codes listed. When I go to sign up I get the following message.
"You get 5 DVDs for 49¢ each with Free Shipping! As a Club member, all you need to do is buy 5 more movies in the next 2 years at regular Club prices" I do not want to continue if I have to buy 5 more. What is up with this, I have been a member in the past but have not been a member for the last two years. It seems that the site will not take the codes for the dvd or the music. I am running XP with sp2 anyone else having issues? Thanks for your help |

I have tried entering the code on the main page and clicking on GO and it just returns me to the main page. I have also tried turning off pop-ups blocked that is in sp2. It still does the same thing. Any ideas? |
The enrollment site does not work correctly with certain browsers. Try using IE for your application. I tested the site and it works fine. Please be sure you are using the right website:
www. columbiahouse.com/sa/ch/homepage.jsp (delete the space after www. ) Other than that, I have no suggestions. |
We need a 7/2 code that allows you to put in a CC number.

Lizard, Italian, Emerald, D-Ball--THANK YOU!!
P7G worked like a charm, I received my DVDs, and was able to change my address to the APO! I could never have gotten a better deal without your help! This Forum is wonderful! |
Got a new code in the mail today: M2B
It's of the 7/2 $14.95 variety (2nd best codes out there) like these: P7G, P7P, P7M, P8A (lowest average dvd price = 7 enrollment + 2 regular price to fullfill) This code to be used if this is your first time ordering & you dont have a PSN ( previous account number) Quote: You get 6 DVDs for 49¢ each--FREE shipping and processing. As a Club member, all you need to do is buy 3 more movies in the next 2 years at regular Club prices (currently as low as $19.95 each plus shipping and processing). You may cancel anytime thereafter by contacting Customer Service. ADVANCE BONUS OFFER! Take a 7th movie now for the special price of just $14.95 (FREE shipping and processing) and have only 2 more movies to buy at regular Club prices(instead of 3) in the next 2 years. Plus, you can even take a 8th movie for $9.95 (FREE shipping and processing). |

Because some people like to sign up via the web and CH sometimes doesnt notify you and let you know you were approved. With a cc, you can check to see a charge instead of guessing if you were approved or not, and should then apply again. |

Is it just me, or is the system requiring a 4 digit savings code now? Am I doing this right? When I look it up it says that it wants a 4 digit code for your specific offer. Could they have changed the system? None of the codes listed on this thread are working for me (I get the pop-up change offer window, but it stays blank unless I put in a 4 digit code, which I make up as a test, and then it says that it doesn't recognize the code).
Any ideas about what's going on? (Is it just me?) |
I placed an odrer using LMT not even an hour ago.
|
OK, now it works. I'm really confused - but I'm not arguing at this point....

And geez, I got another one too! All this mail has been sitting in a pile for a week already. ;)
The code is: QHR This code is like the best ones out there: LMT, LMY, 38Y You get 6 DVDs for 49¢ each--FREE shipping and processing. Not adding M2H because its asking for a PSN. Thanx though.
QHR is a 4 commitment code.. knocked down to 3 w/ bonus , according to the website right now. |
What's the deal with Columbiahouse's site right now? Whenever I started up a new account previously I had a search engine and a large selection, but now I just get their blue page with a limited selection of titles. I know for fact that there were more titles available when I went throught the club a few months ago...
Does anyone know why things have changed? Or is there a special link to the better selections that I haven't found yet? |
Just go to the music club first, then click the DVD club link in the top right corner - you will get the searchable page.

When I just go to www.columbiahouse.com I get two links, the CD club and the DVD club. Of course if I click on the DVD club I get the page I mentioned previously, but if I click on the CD club I get a similar page to the DVD club but without any links to the DVD club like you mentioned... |

First the good news. When you go to the original columbiahouse .com site, don't click on the "12 CDs" link, but rather click on one of the album cover pictures above that link. That should take you to the correct CD club link, where, in the upper right hand corner you will see the DVD Club link I mentioned yesterday. Now the bad news. As others have reported today even when you click on the DVD Club link shown there it now takes you to the abbreviated DVD Club site and not the full site. As of yesterday (6/22) this link was taking you to the correct club site, but today it is not. Hopefully this is all temporary, but we will have to wait and see. |

Thanks for the info though... Of course all of this is moot at the moment since even getting to the "correct" CD page won't get you to the correct DVD page :brickwl: !! |
[QUOTE=maineiac]What browser are you using? As I recall, CH has problems with browsers other than IE.[QUOTE]
I'm actually using Internet Explorer 6.0. I would try the clear cookies thing, but as you said...the site isn't there at the moment. Thanks anyway... |
I've tried with IE and Firefox and I'm having the same problem.... A small selection of DVD's with no search option. :(
|
I just tried it and the search option was back. As I was selecting my 5 title, an error screen kept appearing. Now it takes you back to the small selection of DVDs screen and cleared out my cart

As suggested to me earlier, I deleted my cookies and was able to get to this site... http://go.columbiahouse.com/cache/ho...3&group=NORMAL ...It's different than the previous "Red" site, but there's still no search option. |

If you get an error message, delete all Columbia House cookies and repeat the process. Once at the page: • Enter the enrollment code, as usual • Do NOT click on any links (except for "details", if you wish) • Use the search function to select DVDs and add them to the shopping cart • Check out as usual I tested this to the checkout page but wasn't able to place an order since I am not in the market for a new club membership. This method continues to work but Columbia House may shut it down (perhaps after reading this post). Then we can always fall back on phone enrollments until or unless CH resumes using the normal enrollment site. 6 July 2005, the "back door" is now dead since Columbia House has discontinued its music club in favor of BMG music club. BMG recently purchased CH. The good news is that the "blue site" now has a search function, making the back door irrelevant. |
I got another offer in the mail today: M2P
This is the same terms of M2B which I posted earlier in this thread. It probably also requires a PSN, so it probably isn't a good code, and since CH does not support Firefox anymore, I can't even check for you. Stupid CH. |
