I didn't see any Halloween dvds at BigLots yet (but I did see a big bin of horror at K-Mart but mostly stuff I have). I've been finding a lot of Asian films there lately. This month I've probably bought about 20 of them.

This is what I picked up today.

The only new one I've seen recently is Southland Tales dvd for $5.

Stopped at my local BL for the first time in a few months and found "The Pride of the Yankees" on dvd, "Cedar Rapids", "Love & Other Drugs" and "In the Line of Fire" on blu-ray. Not too bad IMO.

30 Days of Night: Dark Days isn't a bad sequel considering it doesn't really star the same cast as the first movie.

Does the Godzilla Blu-Ray still have the burned-in subtitles in the opening Japanese scenes or did they mess it up?

They had the Piranha remake on Blu ray and the The Roommate on BD each for 5$
I was surprised they had a lot of the 3 dollar Blu ray like Amelia restocked.

Thought I would find nothing new in DVDs or BD, but did find & buy the 1938 classic HOLIDAY for $5 (minus 20% = $4).

I hit the closest store last night, & there was nothing I wanted. I hadn't heard of 90% of the blu's. Even their food was often higher priced then Krogers.

The stores I went to had one mini display of Halloween movies that hold like 15 DVDs. Nothing stood out. They had more Holiday DVD displays like that than Halloween ones.

I picked up at the Niles, IL locale with the coupon obviously Mike & Molly Seasons 3 & 4 for roughly $6.40 each for a friend of mine for Christmas.

My usual store put clearance stickers on some of the old TV seasons. I noticed Pretty Little Liars was marked down to $5, but the other $20 titles were $14. Now I just need a coupon to pick some of these up.

A "Gilligan's Island" questions.

1) Is this the usual case or the re-release where all the discs are on a spindle inside?

2) How did the castaways avoid the black smoke?

^At the store here:

S1 looks to be the original flippy disc set (digipack slipcase)
S2 & S3 appear to be the rerelease versions with SS discs - but I don't know for sure. The cases *are* different than the original flippy releases (which are identical to that S1 set here). If the rerelease I also don't know if the discs are on spindles or hinged trays.

I haven't seen season two in the single sided/stacked set, only the double digipack, but I've been to a few stores and have seen both versions of season one and only stacked ss of season three.

Black Friday should bring a very good price for these
