There are a few others similarly priced (not their lowest though) and the pre-order for 27 is just under $40.

Usually I would get every set on pre-order from Amazon, but Shout Factory is offering a special bonus disc with the 27 pre-order through them so I went that way this time.

The extra disc for XXVII is tempting but you're essentially paying $25 for that extra disc because the order from SHOUT! costs almost $60. I'm normally the first to jump on these bonuses, but that's a steep hit for an extra.

It is a hit, but I try to get most other releases at lower prices and I only order from Shout! when they have these bonus discs. I have every commercially available MST3K title on DVD and can't let this type of bonus slip by me.

So do I, but they also charge $7.99 shipping! Ridiculous. I can't justify paying double just for a bons disc.

My order from Shout Factory came in today. Unlike Amazon, unless you have Prime, they were nice enough to get it to me before release day with their standard shipping. It even came with a free calendar I have a use for.
