Pawn America
I stopped in at my local Pawn America today. They have a 2 DVDs for $3 Tuesday deal going on. As it's a pawn store, your mileage will vary, but it's worth the stop, I think. It's a pain to dig through the non organized DVDs but I noticed the "new" movies are in plastic anti-thief cases which made the easier to find.

Re: Pawn America
Pawn shops in general are the place for dvd's these days, though they all have the same 200 titles. Expect to pay $1 - $2. At least in my part of the USA, you're getting ripped off if you pay a pawn shop more other than box sets, which seem to average $5.

$5 is a little on the low end for box sets, but I have got them for less. Picked up Forever Knight trilogy part 3 in Excellent condition for 5 bucks, so there are some bargains, but they do take perseverance. Most shops have DVDs for 2 bucks, though sometimes you can get them cheaper. If I buy a few, I always make offers. Never hurts, but the chains rarely will deal with you and are usually higher. Cash America wants 10 bucks for its sets. But you do have to sift through a bunch of crap for the gems and unless you like doing that, it's probably a waste of time.

Re: Pawn America
TV sets seemed to range from 6-20 bucks for the average stuff, more for some of the more popular. I don't think I'd go for those as the deals just weren't there. But the individual DVDs aren't too badly priced.
I picked up Moulin Rouge 2 disc'er and Iron Man 2.
