No. Le Havre is released on the 31st. To qualify pre-orders must be released on or before the last day. And any pre-order that qualifies is already 50% off at bn.com. Having said that, you might try going to a store and see if you can talk a clerk into giving it to you for half off.

They are usually well prepared for the Criterion sale. I imagine it's more of a sale by Criterion via B&N so they get plenty of stock.

I agree with that statement. At my local store, I was shocked that there were multiple copies of Gold Rush and Shallow Grave... Usually they have one or two copies. They had 3-4 of each on the shelf, plus I'm sure a few were being held.

I both love and hate this sale. Fortunately, there are only a few titles out now that I feel like getting (until "The Game" is released that is). Managed to sneak out "Carlos" and "Samurai Trilogy" blus fo just over 60 bucks.

Grabbed the 'America Lost and Found' box set today along with the 'Berlin Alexanderplatz' box set. Luv this $ale!!! On a Criterion fix lately. Just some great films and DVD's put out by this top notch company!!!

Berlin Alexanderplatz is one of the best Criterion sets I've ever gotten, an absolute "must have" for anyone interested even slightly in German cinema, or just cinema in general.

Was wondering if we had any forum members here from the Portland,OR area.
Looking for some advice on which B&N location(s) I should be looking to go to
and or avoid as far as the coupons go (8/40, 5/50, Etc).

If anyone from around Portland could PM some solid info/experiences so far this
sale, I would be willing to help with some coupons codes in the future. I have
three active e-mail accounts that have each received every coupon(s) they
have ever sent over the last seven years. So anytime they have the unique
single use codes, I always have three to work with.
