Walmart preorder for "It Takes a Thief--Complete Series" for $98.96!
Check it out: Walmart is beating Amazon's price by about $85!

A great deal for an entire run of the show. Amazon's listing now stands at $179.99.

Alexander Mundy himself would be pleased at such a steal.
I want to hear some good reviews before I pull trigger on this. The prints running on RTV last year were horrid quality, but damned if the show wasn't even better than I (barely) remembered!

It doesn't help that even if RTV ran a current show, it would probably look 40 years old...

FYI--This is now showing up for $104.41 on my Amazon wishlist. VERY TEMPTING!

Indeed it is, coming in slightly below Walmart's order with shipping and tax.
Ordered at Amazon, cancelled at Walmart!

Nice, I'm saving money left and right here. Come on, pre-order price guarantee!!
And it worked: I'm now getting this for $98.99 through Amazon, which beats Walmart and with free two-day shipping thanks to Prime! But it's going back up in price, so everybody might want to grab this offer before it vanishes.

I loved this show as a kid. Liked it better than Mission Impossible, there seemed to be more suspense. He was good looking, smart and made James Bond look like a pussy. The only problem is I'm not sure how much I would watch this or like it now and $100 is a lot to gamble. Very often I watch these movies or shows I remember as being so cool and find out they were pretty dull. I was thinking about them with nostalgia and rose colored glasses.

I had been watching it the past couple years on retro tv and have been loving it. Would put it as an all time favorite. Yeah, it's dated, but that's part of the fun and it was really well done.

Got this today. Wal-Mart Fed Exed it, 2-day shipping. Don't know if that's normal or courtesy because of the several delays. Charged me 1.97 shipping.
The box set is a cube. Dimensions of a cd case. Each season comes in a digipac like a multiple music cd only more folds to accomadate six discs.

I have a five disc changer and am currenty rotating through a season of Hogan Heroes, Daniel Boone, Hawaii Five-0 and Warner Archive's Girl From U.N.C.L.E. release.
I chose a random episode of It Takes A Thief and just chapter skipped through it. I don't think it looks as good as any of the other shows I mentioned. May not have been remastered. Definately not restored. The color just doesn't have the punch it should. The quality is miles above the prints being used on Antenna TV.
Still worth it.
