That's not accurate as not Everything is included. It's on "In Stock" items which means it doesn't apply to pre-orders. That makes it a Meh sale.

And The Killing on Blu has already sold out.

I still got a new Eclipse set and another disc I'd been thinking about for a while -- no postage, no tax, so I was happy (and I already have THE KILLING).

Thanks for posting. If it weren't for the current Barnes & Noble sale and the 20% coupons last week I would be picking some titles up.

I'm sorry I'm too poor to really follow Criterions much because it's just always so dramatically above what I can pay for titles when there are reasonably priced stuff about... are these the best prices I'm ever going to see for the Essential Art House boxes? They come out to $8.33 per title, which is just skimming reasonable for me, but it's still a bit more than I usually spend. Are these cheaper on e-commerce site Criterion sales? They don't appear to be cheaper used. My stomach churns at the thought of dropping $250 but I would love to own these movies. If you guys can weigh in I would really appreciate that.

EDIT: I went ahead and ordered Vol. 1 and 5 on the Criterion site, and Vol. 2 on eBay for $40.

Vigo blu on backorder. Looks like I'll be passing.

The sale ended at 1:05 today. I showed restraint, and only bought Gimme Shelter and House on Blu and The Last Wave to get the total over $50 for free shipping.

It was amazing to see how fast newer titles went on backorder, like the Vigo set, The Killing, Orpheus, and If on Blu.

I picked up everything I was wanting within the first ten minutes, considered making a second order too. Picked up the blu's for The Battle of Algiers, My Life as a Dog and 3 Women and DVDs of Brand Upon The Brain, Jeanne Dielman, Pigs Pimps and Prostitutes: 3 Films by Shohei Imamura and Letters from Fontainhas: 3 Films by Pedro Costa.

I came close to ordering a few other things but I can wait until the November sale at B&N. Must let the wallet rest.
