As part of its big new TV sale, Deep Discount is offering the excellent British, '90s Battlefield series. Each box contains three 2-hour WWII documentaries with a common theme: The Russian Front, sea battles, invasions, European battles. The shows are unusually lucid because they lay out the stories of the battles very methodically and consistently--all aspects of each side and how they stack up against each other, then how they perform against each other. The cost per box is $8.32, about half of the current Amazon cost. There's also two boxes devoted to Vietnam. This is one of the top war documentary series, and at a nice price, too. If you like this sort of thing, you'll love this. I ordered three of them. I've been down a lot on DD for a while, but credit where credit is due.

I have been buying these on Blu-ray from my local B.J.'s for $9.99.
