Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

Are these going to be like the other Sony complete series TV sets (Sanford and Son, Newsradio, etc.) that have all the DVDs on a spindle?

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

I'm curious if it has extras which weren't included on the individual seasons. I doubt it. I do believe this can be had for cheaper, based on the retail price listed. B&N has it for $42.xx right now, and that's without factoring in coupons (which can't be used on pre-orders). But I'm confident this will be cheaper once it is released...

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

Not bad for married with Children. I saw also on amazon another complete series of the show. but was going for 70 some dollars. I think it was all the box sets in one big case.

These 3 retail for the same price as Newsradio and the other ones released like that so you can almost guarantee it.

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

already preorder MWC for a friend of mine. I've bought the individual sets before they announced the complete series. I'm thinking about getting King of Queens, but I want to get more details about this set

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

I don't really get Sony's pricing structure for these spindle sets. Whether it's 3 seasons (What's Happening!!) or 11 seasons (MwC), they all have the same MSRP.

If you wait for a 50% off sale on Married With Children, you'd be paying just over $1 per disc. Too bad I already own the individual sets. Better packaging or not, the savings here is substantial.

It's the same discs that are already out but they will more than likely be in spindle packaging like Newsradio, Sanford and Son, Soap, Good Times, etc were.

KoQ is a guilty pleasure for me, I'll probably pick it up when I see it for $40 or so.

Same here. In the meantime, I'll just watch it on TBS...

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

I'm less worried about 'cool' packaging, as long as it's not damaging to the disks.

That said, I should have preordered yesterday, especially since I'd have over a month to cancel the order. MWC went up to 60 bucks in the last few hours, apparently. It's still a great deal for an entire series, especially one as long as MWC, but, well, 45 was a better deal.

Still $46.19 on Amazon.ca.Even with shipping it'd still be cheaper esp if there's other stuff to pick up.

26.55 on a "blind buy" on newsradio is low enough for me

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

Are there any major differences (quality, etc.) with the Sony sets versus other complete sets from different companies?

And in typical Amazon stock market like pricing, MWC is now $39.99... I guess those who preordered at $46.99 should cancel and reorder because I doubt it'll stay at $39.99 until release day.

It could go back up to $60 or maybe down to $35. Round and round the price goes at Amazon. Where it stops nobody knows.

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

Went ahead and reordered at the new price. And canceled the old one. Usually the preorder price guarantee will kick in after a day or two but didn't want to chance it

You shouldn't have to to that. Even if it drops for 5 minutes you'll get the lowest price for which it was listed:

"Pre-order Price Guarantee! Order now and if the Amazon.com price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price."

I've always received an email alerting me to the lower price and have always received the lowest price a product sells for following the day/time I placed an order. Even those where the lower price was only for a couple of hours.

Re: Sony Complete series $45.99

Usually I haven't had to but 2 times this year they didn't honor their promos. One time was a price drop on a preorder (only $2 so didn't really complain) the other was a credit for preordering a game. (Even emailed them on the game credit and they said I didn't preorder in time. Even though I preordered before the credit appeared. This was a $15 credit) My prime is up in a couple of days so I won't be canceling if it drops again

These are all 3 up for pre order at BN for $42.29. Hold out these will be cheaper. You will eventually find them for $19.99.

At $39.99 I finally bit and preordered it. Thanks for the heads up and the price change (again).
